Disney is the First Studio to Surpass $1 Billion in 2026 Worldwide Box Office

This weekend marks the largest global opening of 2026 with Warner Bros. Wuthering Heights, Sony’s Goat, and MGM Studio’s Crime 101 topping the charts. According to Deadline, despite the success of these film’s, Disney is the first major motion picture studio to reach a $1 billion weekend in 2026. Success of Zootopia 2 & Avatar: Fire & Ash This success is in part due to the continued popularity of Zootopia 2 in global box offices. The film is currently in its 12th weekend of earning over $15 million. In total, the film has earned $1.82 billion with only $420.6 million earned from domestic sales. Released on Thanksgiving weekend 2025, Zootopia 2 dominated the box office from the jump with the biggest-ever global opening for an animated film, eventually becoming Walt Disney Animation’s highest-grossing movie ever and one of only two films released in 2025 to gross over $1 billion; the other was Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch. It is now Walt Disney Animation’s highest-grossing movie ever, surpassing Frozen II (Pixar’s Inside Out 2 remains Disney’s highest-grossing animated film across studios), and became only one of two films released in 2025 to gross over $1 billion; the other was Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch. Avatar: Fire and Ash is also still seeing success and will soon approach $400 million domestic with  $1.459 billion after nine weekends in the box office. The previous two films have enjoyed remarkable box office staying power. The original 2009 epic Avatar debuted to $77 million domestically and remained in first place for seven consecutive weekends, eventually climbing to $760 million in

First Detailed Look Inside Frozen After After at Disneyland Paris

Frozen Ever After opens with World of Frozen on March 29 alongside the rebranding of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. As we near the opening date, some media outlets have been given the opportunity to take pictures inside the attraction. Thanks to dip.works on Instagram, we have compiled a look inside the attraction’s queue and on-board the ride. The majority of photos shared come from SortiraParis.com who posted the first images and revealed that the songs will only be played in English, frustrating French-speaking fans. Queue Photos The World of Frozen transports you to the Norwegian-inspired Kingdom of Arendelle, where Anna and Elsa grew up. Charming village buildings in rich brownish reds and greens are as lovely as can be, with brick-and-stone facades. The Frozen Ever After attraction entrance features a cuckoo clock with dolls of Anna and Elsa. Intricate theming begins with the covered outdoor portion of the queue. Cargo and other maritime props decorate the entire queue to reference Aredelle’s trading culture. Inside, the queue is reminiscent of that at Walt Disney World with slight updates here and there. A unique reference to Walt Disney Imagineer Michel den Dulk is located behind some railings as Den & Dulk C Harware Supplies printed on some of the crates. Paintings hang on one wall representing Anna and Elsa. Lanterns and pennants hang from the ceiling with lighting designed to represent the night sky.
