Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, the Frontierland restaurant known for its inexpensive Mexican food, has a new ordering process for guests with food allergies.

Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante’s New Allergy Ordering System

First, guests speak with a Cast Member at the Salads and Desserts station inside the restaurant. After taking the food request, Cast Members will bring the food out to the guest with a new allergy card. Guests are then informed to bring the allergy card to the cashier when checking out, so the cashier can correctly input the items on their tray.

The new laminated allergy card has a purple background with green icons for different allergies. The top of the card says:

Guests must speak to a Cast Member about their special dietary request. While we take steps to help mitigate cross-contact, we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free of any ingredient.

Beneath the disclaimer is a list of common allergens for guests to request their dish be made without:

  • Gluten/wheat
  • Egg
  • Fish
  • Milk
  • Sesame
  • Peanut
  • Shellfish
  • Soy
  • Tree nut
  • Other (with a blank line)

At the bottom of the card is a blank line for the cast member to write the name of the item the guest is ordering.

At this time, we do not know if this system is currently being tested, is now permanent, or will be implemented at any additional Disneyland Resort restaurants.
