In honor of Engineers Week (February 22 – February 28, 2026), Walt Disney Imagineering shared a construction update of the new Avengers Infinity Defense attraction.

Engineers Week – Avengers Campus Construction

Behind-the-scenes look at the construction occurring at Disney California Adventure's Avengers Campus. One picture shows scaffolding with Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout in the background, while the other picture shows a catwalk being built for the new Avengers Infinity Defense ride.

Walt Disney Imagineering shared the behind-the-scenes look on Instagram. The video follows structural engineer Alanna as she shares information about the Avengers Campus expansion that will nearly double the size of the land in Disney California Adventure.

We first get to see the steel canopy that will connect the two new attractions, Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. The video then shows the construction progress on the building that will house the Avengers Infinity Defense attraction. According to Alanna, a catwalk is being assembled for projectors, speakers, and other show elements.
