Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, the Frontierland restaurant known for its inexpensive Mexican food, has a new ordering process for guests with food allergies. Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante’s New Allergy Ordering System First, guests speak with a Cast Member at the Salads and Desserts station inside the restaurant. After taking the food request, Cast Members will bring the food out to the guest with a new allergy card. Guests are then informed to bring the allergy card to the cashier when checking out, so the cashier can correctly input the items on their tray. The new laminated allergy card has a purple background with green icons for different allergies. The top of the card says: Guests must speak to a Cast Member about their special dietary request. While we take steps to help mitigate cross-contact, we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free of any ingredient. Beneath the disclaimer is a list of common allergens for guests to request their dish be made without: Gluten/wheat Egg Fish Milk Sesame Peanut Shellfish Soy Tree nut Other (with a blank line) At the bottom of the card is a blank line for the cast member to write the name of the item the guest is ordering. At this time, we do not know if this system is currently being tested, is now permanent, or will be implemented at any additional Disneyland Resort restaurants. What do you think of this new allergy ordering system?

The construction walls that previously surrounded the “Storytellers” statue have now been removed at Disney California Adventure. ‘Storytellers’ Statue Now Visible Again After being concealed behind construction walls for a few days, the bronze “Storytellers” statue was now visible again. It depicts a 1920s version of Walt Disney next to Mickey Mouse standing on a suitcase. The statue and surrounding plaques appear to be unchanged, so the bronze was likely just being retouched. Many guests pose with the statue for photos, creating worn areas on parts of the statue, so it requires occasional refinishing work. For reference, this is what the construction walls surrounding the statue looked like on February 24, 2026: Are you glad to see that the “Storytellers” statue is visible again? Pandora — The World of Avatar is glowing brightly at night once again as repainting of the bioluminescent pavement continues in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Bioluminescent Pavement Painting Since many of Pandora’s plants glow, and the walkways are designed to mimic dirt paths with natural flora embedded inside, they also shine once the sun sets. As frequent foot traffic reduces the strength of this effect, the pathways must be refreshed frequently with UV-reactive paint to revive the area’s bioluminescent aesthetic. Last month, the left side of the front entrance path to Pandora was repainted, and now the right side of the walkway has been refreshed as well. Green walls now block off this half of the path from guests. During the day, the paint appears bright pastel green and purple, filling in embossing that resembles leaves, ferns, and vines. At night, the paint glows vibrantly, matching the illuminated flora of the land. Are you excited to see Pandora glowing brightly again? Let us know on social media. The first parts of the perimeter fence around the upcoming Coco ride have been spotted around the backside of Disney California Adventure. Perimeter Fence Panels Being Installed Around ‘Coco’ Ride Construction on the ‘Coco’ ride began about a month ago with crew members clearing some of the land. We noted the first signs of the perimeter fence when tall poles appeared on February 12. Disney filed a permit in December 2025 for a new 727-foot-long and 16-foot-high fence with a gate. This fence will apparently be completed before construction of the attraction begins. Wooden fence panels are being installed down the full length of the fence, which parallels the backstage road leading off Disneyland Dr. This road may eventually be demolished as part of the ride’s construction. The ongoing construction is currently visible when looking down from the Pixar Place Hotel across the street. Coco Ride Disney hasn’t announced much about the Coco ride, just that guests will follow Miguel into the Land of the Dead, hear some of the movie’s iconic music, and see skeletal Audio-Animatronics characters. The concept art indicates it will be a boat ride. Are you excited for the Coco ride? Let us know on social media. Main Street, U.S.A., is now fully concealed by scrim in Disneyland Park, stretching from Carnation Café to Refreshment Corner. Construction walls also block the windows. Main Street, U.S.A. Scrim The beige scrim walls start at Carnation Café, where the scaffolding surrounds the entire corner facade of the restaurant. The scrim is tall enough that it conceals the decorative brick sides and roofs as well. The scrim continues down Main Street, U.S.A., with beige walls concealing the decorative façade of Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, the Penny Arcade, and Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen. There are some manufactured doorways with signs pointing to where guests can enter. The scrim walls and scaffolding end at Refreshment Corner. We’re not sure how long the scrim will be up and what construction is happening here, but it’s likely exterior facade work. Will the construction on Main Street, U.S.A. affect any of your Disneyland plans? Let us know on social media. Muppets, Moana, Groot, and several more topiaries have arrived at EPCOT for the 2026 Flower and Garden Festival. Moana Located near the Port of Entry, you’ll find topiaries of Moana, Maui, and Pua on a sandy beach. A straw hut and foliage surround them. Groot Although the Groot topiary is up in World Discovery near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, he does not appear to be playing music yet. He holds a mix tape over his head. Kermit & Miss Piggy Kermit rides a bicycle, and Miss Piggy sits on top of suitcases for this topiary display. It’s located outside the Canada Pavilion where the Bambi topiary used to be. Princess Tiana Princess Tiana’s topiary is located in The American Adventure. Her green dress is made of flowers, and a large white water lily sits on her hip. Seven Dwarfs Once again this year, the Germany Pavilion has the Seven Dwarfs in topiary form. Notice the cute caterpillar! Snow White was previously installed. Geese Three geese topiaries are located in the Canada Pavilion. Mickey & Friends A large topiary display features Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale in a flower bed. A kite and basket accessories accent the space. It’s located in the middle of the walkway leading up to Creations Shop. Butterflies A pair of butterfly topiaries surrounded by pots of flowers has been installed near the
In order to protect the area from fire, construction crews were drenching the land in Tropical Americas this morning, February 26. Tropical Americas As Tropical Americas is currently a construction site, a water supply must be available for fire protection. This morning we caught crews drenching the land beyond the walls that block off the area to guests. We could see the water actively shooting vertical in the area near Trilo-Bites (or at least that’s what it looked like from our viewpoint). The large structure in the middle of the photo above is the future Encanto-themed attraction. Workers have recently placed an American flag at the top. This “topping off” tradition signifies that vertical construction has reached its highest point. Elsewhere in the area, dirt piles continue to be moved around, and several excavators, additional heavy equipment, and workers can be seen. Besides the Encanto attraction, the land will see DINOSAUR be reimagined into an Indiana Jones ride, as well as a new carousel. Tropical Americas will open in 2027 and replaces DinoLand, U.S.A. Are you excited for this new area? Let us know on social media. For the latest Disney Parks news and info, follow WDW News Today on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The highly anticipated Villains Land in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has been the topic of much recent discussion. Now, TheWrap claims that sources in the know have said the project is changing gears to become more family-friendly. Villains Land Refocus Rumors According to TheWrap, the Villains Land’s focus has supposedly shifted. This would make the plan consist of a more family-friendly version of the devious development. For example, insiders have reportedly told the outlet that the original coaster meant to be Maleficent themed will instead be themed to The Emperor’s New Groove and be more like Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios than an intense coaster experience. However, the Maleficent theme would move to another attraction with an indoor water-based ride system with the scale and complexity of attractions like Radiator Springs Racers or Rise of the Resistance. Multiple sources have also told the outlet that there will be an Ursula spinner ride similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant, as well as a dinner show themed to Hades instead of a Madam Medusa a la The Rescuers-themed restaurant. If there were plans for a restaurant themed to possible the least-known Disney Villain in Medusa, we here at WDWNT.com would be beyond shocked. The Scrapped Plans Sources have told TheWrap that Imagineers were informed in late 2025 that the previous plans for Villains Land were being redone. Just a few days ago, we debunked the rumor that the Villains Land plans were tossed for a bigger plan.
