Though we are well into the Halloween Horror Nights season, the Summer Tribute Store remains open at Universal Studios Florida. Exterior elements of the store are slowly being removed, with banners most recently replacing some of the more permanent signage.

Summer Tribute Store Facade Updates

The facade structures that matched the Williams of Hollywood building have been completely removed. The Williams of Hollywood signs are now visible at the entrance of the store. Banners hang in the archways on the left where there were previously signs for the fake Mega Video, Mega Castle Arcade, and Tribute Theater.

For comparison, below is a photo of the facade from a few months ago.

A storefront complex features a Mega Video store, a Mega Camera and Theater shop, a Tribute Store Pizza, and a phone booth. The sidewalk has star-shaped plaques, resembling a Walk of Fame.

Bill & Ted’s phone booth and the bulletin boards have also been removed. Added to the space is a cardboard cutout of Mr. Tape, the mascot of Mega Video Rentals.

The cardboard cutout has a speech bubble reading “Mega Video Rentals Welcomes You.” Guests who go inside the Summer Tribute Store will walk through rooms inspired by each of the fake retro stores.
