Construction walls came down from around the new Avengers Reserve gift shop at Downtown Disney District ahead of a soft opening on Wednesday, December 4.
Avengers Reserve
The store is located near the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage, in the reimagined area of Downtown Disney District. There are still some construction walls to the left, where concept art showed a nine-foot Incredible Hulk sculpture crashing through the wall.
It has a white facade of geometric breezeblocks and spots of color, matching the rest of the facades on this stretch. Avengers Reserve is scheduled to officially open on Friday, December 6, but it soft opened on Wednesday, December 4. Stay tuned for our tour.
The adjacent D-Lander Shop — a boutique offering apparel, handbags, and jewelry — also opened a few days early.
On the store’s marquee is a sign featuring the Avengers logo above “Avengers Reserve.” The name is set against a black, gray, and blue background. A life-size figure of Spider-Man is poised on the Avengers logo, with one hand holding onto a string of webbing stuck to the building, and the other outstretched.
The windows of Avengers Reserve are blacked out for now. Concept art of the interior showed a sculpture of Captain Marvel surrounded by banners showcasing other Marvel Super Heroes. It will have a high-energy, industrial look with lighting effects, authentic film props, and a media screen with a gaming demonstration station.
Also coming soon to Downtown Disney District is Disney Wonderful World of Sweets, replacing Marceline’s Confectionery.
