Scott “Scooter” Burroughs has returned to the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with some new and returning favorite mid-century modern art pieces.
Burroughs’s booth is labeled simply using his nickname, Scooter. This year, his tent is located near the Germany Pavilion in World Showcase. Scooter worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation in Florida for 10 years, animating for films like “Pocahontas,” “Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Mulan,” “Tarzan,” “Fantasia 2000,” “Lilo & Stitch,” and “Brother Bear.”
“1967 Tomorrowland” (Canvas) – $350
This 36″ x 24″ canvas shows a couple enjoying a trip around Tomorrowland on the PeopleMover. As with most of Scooter’s art, the piece has a retro feel using bright shades of blue and red.
“Wonderful World of Epcot” (Canvas) – $350
This art shows the same vacationing couple sitting on a bench beneath a statue of Sorcerer Mickey. The sphere behind Mickey is patterned like Spaceship Earth, and yellow fireworks flash in the sky.
“Dreaming With You” (Canvas) – $350
This piece is one of several new creations Scooter brought for this year’s festival. The art shows a couple riding in a retro car past the Walt Disney World entrance sign. The custom license plate on the front says “Disney Love.”
“A Perfectly, Magical Night” (Canvas) – $350
The couple from the car has now arrived in Tomorrowland. They sit while eating Mickey-shaped snacks on a bench. The white spires of Space Mountain rise behind their heads. Plus, you can spot a Hidden Mickey outlined on the moon.
“The Great Adventure” (Original) – $8,500
This original piece is 24″ x 36″ and shows a couple dancing under the Jungle Cruise entrance sign. Scooter’s usual red and blue color palette is replaced with orange and blue for this picture.
“Sci Fi Dine-In” (Original) – $8,500
Another piece made specifically for the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts shows the same couple drinking a milkshake at the Sci Fi Dine-In Theater restaurant. As with the first car image, the license plate also says “Disney Love.”
“Magical Love Story” (Original) – $8,500
This original piece depicts a magical proposal in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. As with many of his other works, Scooter has added Mickey icons along the railings and a Hidden Mickey on the moon.
“Tea Time” (Original) – $10,500
We now move to art showing Mickey and Minnie spending time at the parks. In this piece, the two of them sit together in a pink teacup from The Mad Tea Party. Donald, Daisy, and Pluto are also spinning along in their own teacups.
“Where Dreams Come True” (Original) – $8,500
Unlike most of Scooter’s other works, this returning piece is entirely in black-and-white. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto ride together in a car toward Walt Disney World. This piece also uses a more retro, geometric art style for the characters.
“Celebrating Our Imagination” (Canvas) – $350
Similar in style to “Wonderful World of EPCOT,” this art shows Mickey and Minnie hugging the new “Walt the Dreamer” statue. A topiary of Figment waves at the viewer, and Spaceship Earth is again silhouetted in the background.
“A Perfect Day” (Canvas) – $350
In one more piece new for 2025, Mickey and Minnie share a Dole Whip in front of the facade for “its ‘s a small world.” This picture shows the Disneyland Park version of the attraction, as the building sits outside with dolphin topiaries near the entrance.
“Happily Ever After” (Canvas) – $350
Finally, Mickey is surprising Minnie with a bouquet of roses in this piece. Like the “Magical Love Story” art, Sleeping Beauty Castle is framed by red pennants in the back. Pluto also sticks his head up through the bushes.
