The now-closed Star Wars Trading Post has officially been re-themed into a previously confirmed Santa Claus meet-and-greet location.

Disney Springs Santa Claus Meet and Greet

Santa is meeting guests in the former Star Wars Trading Post, in the Disney Springs Marketplace near Disney’s Pin Traders.

Virtual Queue

Meeting Santa requires joining a virtual queue, which can be joined through the Walt Disney World app. We joined the virtual queue when it opened, being placed in Group 1 and told to return by 10:54 AM.

Check-In

Arriving at the newly-installed signage for “Santa’s Workshop,” the front doors seem to now be the exit.

The outdoor shopping area, reminiscent of Disney Springs, is adorned with holiday decorations. A sign reading "Enter Here" welcomes people strolling by brick and wood structures, under the watchful gaze of Santa Claus. Trees sway gently against a backdrop of a clear sky.

The entrance, to the side of the front doors, is flagged by an “Enter Here” sign sticking out of a green present box.

A sign reading "Santa Virtual Queue Check-In," adorned with festive decorations and snowflakes, stands outside a door at Disney Springs, inviting guests to embark on a magical visit with Santa Claus.

Another sign indicates where virtual queue can check in to meet Santa.

Santa’s Marketplace

The space is themed, with light fixtures, holly decals on the newly painted walls, and garland wrapped around support posts. Merchandise shelves that once housed Star Wars products are now stocked with Christmas merchandise.

Cozy room with stone walls, a rocking horse, and a tall cabinet of decorative items. A desk with a map is near a grandfather clock, adjacent to Santa Claus seated in a green chair, reading an open book.

Decorations to the left of Santa’s chair include a shelf with various toys and knick-knacks, a rocking horse, stacked chests, an overflowing red mailbox, a grandfather clock, a drawing desk with conceptual toy sketches, and a podium holding Santa’s naughty and nice list.

A festive room with large wrapped gift boxes, red curtains, and a vertical garland around a support beam evokes the charm of Disney Springs. Holiday wreaths adorn the space as Santa Claus mingles with two people standing by the entrance, spreading cheer and joy.

The exit from Santa is lined with a wall of gifts in various shapes, sizes, and wrappings.

Shelves filled with various yellow-packaged Bauducco products, including tins and boxes, are neatly arranged in a delightful display reminiscent of Santa Claus's workshop, capturing the magic you’d expect to find at Disney Springs.

Multiple shelves are dedicated to Bauducco products, including biscuits and cakes. Bauducco sponsors Santa’s Marketplace.

A holiday-themed store display features shelves of merchandise and a sign that reads, "Dear Santa Claus, I want to go to the Merriest Place on Earth!" Two people stand near the counter, dreaming of adventures at Disney Springs.

The register has more holly decals and a hanging sign that says “S Workshop.” The back wall behind the register has holiday artwork and says “Dear Santa, I want to go to the merriest place on Earth!”

Santa Meet and Greet

Santa Claus stands in a festive room at Disney Springs, surrounded by a decorated Christmas tree, globe, and vintage clock.

Santa gave us a merry greeting as we entered his meet-and-greet spot. The space was decorated with a Christmas Tree, a big red and gold “S” rug, and a huge green sofa in front of a stained glass-style window.

Santa Claus is sitting on a decorative green sofa at Disney Springs, surrounded by red pillows, waving with his signature warm smile. A charming stone wall provides the perfect festive backdrop.

Santa looks extra jolly as he greets guests and asks what they want for Christmas!

At Disney Springs, Santa Claus sits on a chair, making a peace sign with one hand while wearing glasses and his iconic Santa hat.

He’s also a little silly!

Santa’s Marketplace will be open from November 8 through December 24, 2024.
