After debuting with the restaurant and then being discontinued just a few months later, Satu’li Canteen breakfast service is back in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We ventured out to Pandora – The World of Avatar to try the Satu’li Canteen breakfast menu for ourselves.
Satu’li Canteen Breakfast Menu
The menu includes four dishes and two kids’ meals. Three dishes are returning from the original breakfast service, with one all-new dish.
Tropical Pandoran Forest Fruits – $11.99
with fresh yogurt, Muesli, and honey
In spots where the honey is mixed with the yogurt, the flavor is very powerful. We’d call it less sweet and more tart. The crunch of the Muesli is a welcome addition of texture. The fruits are sweet and the portions are decent.

Cinnamon French Toast – $12.99
with blueberry cream cheese, passion fruit anglaise, and sausage
The texture of this was a bit tough when we first tried to cut into it, suggesting that it might be stale. However, once we tasted it, we realized it was just a bit firm and not stale at all. The delightful sprinkles of powdered sugar are a nice touch. and the anglaise is delicious, though without the powerful passion fruit flavor we were expecting. Likewise, the blueberry cream cheese was mild overall and did not overpower the dish.

Slow-roasted Pork Shoulder Potato Hash – $13.29
with chorizo sausage and charred onion sauce
This Satu’li Canteen breakfast dish is stunning. The pork is spicy and the potatoes have a ton of flavor. This would make a good breakfast, lunch, or dinner. That being said, it’s worth cautioning that the spiciness of this dish may not be for everyone, but we certainly loved it.

Frittata and Beef – $14.29
vegetable-goat cheese frittata with wood-fired beef tossed in chimichurri
The frittata is a bit dry, but we also let it sit for a while as we were photographing all of our breakfast dishes. The dollop of goat cheese is powerful and generous. The beef is cooked well enough, but we had mixed feelings about its flavors. While one member of our group liked it, the other felt there was too much cilantro.
Cilantro and goat cheese may make this dish polarizing for many. The salad on the side is presented with a vinaigrette dressing, which we found pleasant enough.

Ceral with Milk – $5.49
served with a Cuties mandarin with a choice of small lowfat milk or small Dasani bottled water
This is just Froot Loops in a bowl, possibly an off-brand version. It was not initially served to us with milk, but a helpful Cast Member went and got some for us.
There’s not much to say here except that it’s a $5.49 bowl of Froot Loops.
Rating out of 7: 4 banshees
Pandoran Sunrise – $5.79
refreshing mix of Simply Pineapple juice and Simply Limeade with Powerade Melon
While the Pandoran Sunrise is not new, we simply could not resist having a glass with our breakfast. The melon Powerade taste blends well with the drink’s accompanying flavors, and we enjoyed it overall.
