Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- A new Walt Disney World commercial that debuted during the “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade” special features Disney Villains, teasing the new Disney Villains land in the works for Magic Kingdom and the upcoming stage show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- TRON Lightcycle Run has the longest wait time at Walt Disney World on Christmas Day 2024, surpassing 3 hours.
EPCOT
- Scaffolding is up in front of Test Track as crew members install more elements of the EPCOT attraction’s new canopy.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Several special meet and greet opportunities were available for guests at a number of Walt Disney World theme parks for Christmas.
Disneyland Resort
- Disneyland Resort aired the first commercial for their 70th anniversary celebration during the “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade” special.
- Disneyland Resort filed a Change Of Use permit to turn the former ESPN Zone building in Downtown Disney District into multiple storefronts.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- The Monorails of the Disney Resort Line at Tokyo Disney Resort are decorated for Christmas with decals and more.
- The old Space Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland has been mostly dismantled as a new version of the attraction is constructed.
Disney Cruise Line
- Disney Cruise Line shared a preview of the Disney Destiny, including a first look at the ship’s Spider-Man stern character under construction.
- We toured a pair of “Aladdin” and “Pocahontas” Standard Inside Staterooms on the new Disney Treasure cruise ship.
- A new Disney Treasure exclusive souvenir beer mug is available aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship.
- The Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure has proven to be quite popular, as both collectible tiki mugs have sold out between the ship’s previews and maiden voyage, and there are no souvenir coasters or Death Certificates remaining.
Entertainment and Media
- A new sneak peek for “Captain America: Brave New World” premiered, giving fans a look at Harrison Ford as Red Hulk.
- A sneak peek of the live action “Snow White” film includes clips of Rachel Zegler as Snow White singing part of the new “Waiting on a Wish” song.
Universal Studios
Universal Orlando Resort
- In the wake of a drone accident in downtown Orlando, a Universal Orlando Resort spokesperson said, “We have currently paused the drone component of CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular.
- In an email to Annual Passholders, Universal Orlando revealed some special benefits Passholders can enjoy in 2025.
