Hello Yellow! Nana is back from a quick fall refurbishment. Did she miss the parks? Oh, yes. Did she miss the crowds? Oh, no. Did she remember where she parked? At least she did today!

Anyway, let the chaos begin!

Today’s Mission

In a purple tie-dye shirt, a person sips iced coffee in a parking lot, where palm trees sway against the sunset, evoking the vibrant atmosphere of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Today’s mission was to check The Cake Bake Shop, see if Disney’s Hollywood Studios had implemented their “new” early entry procedures, do a loop of the park, check The Cake Bake Shop, park hop to EPCOT for a few things, then check The Cake Bake Shop.

Sounds crazy, right? But Nana’s got this (At least, that’s what I kept telling myself). I was definitely aided by my $1 McDonald’s large iced coffee. I parked somewhere near Princess Parking and walked to the Friendship boat at 7:47 a.m.

As the sun sets, painting the sky with hues of gold and purple, people gather on the boardwalk near a small boat. The scene, reminiscent of a picturesque evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios, captures the magic and tranquility of twilight moments by the water.

This morning was beautiful. Fantastic T-shirt weather. I saw a Friendship boat by the dock, so I walked as fast as I could to make sure I got on.

Silhouetted cable cars glide along a gondola line against a sunset sky, reflected in the water below, reminiscent of a tranquil evening near Disney's Hollywood Studios. Trees and a pole complete this picturesque scene.

The view from my window was gorgeous. I love fall mornings.

A charming white waterfront restaurant, nestled on the scenic boardwalk, features a hexagonal tower and wooden railing. With trees in the background, it offers picturesque views from across the water.

My first attempt at getting more information about The Cake Bake Shop came at 8:17 am, but there was no sign of life.

A boat approaches a dock on the calm lake near the boardwalk, with a "Have a Magical Day" sign overhead and string lights illuminating the path.

With no luck, it was time to jump back on the Friendship boat and make my way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A wrist wearing a smartwatch displaying time is in the foreground at EPCOT's vibrant amusement park. People and iconic park structures are visible in the background, capturing the blend of technology and imagination.

I got off the boat at 8:40 a.m. and walked through security quickly! But then I had to get in line for the touch points, which can often be the most stressful part of the day. I was through and into the park at 8:44 a.m.

I had time to check each land and attraction for pre-COVID early entry procedures. Sure enough, Disney was testing out the old system all around the park. You can read the full details here.

Four images of Disney's Hollywood Studios showcase signage and attractions like "Fantasmic!" and "Theater of the Stars," all nestled among lush greenery and clear skies, capturing the magic and excitement of this iconic theme park.

Sunset Blvd has started prepping for the holiday season. They added snoap (snow + soap) machines, and some lights were added on the bushes. I know we haven’t passed Halloween yet, but Christmas is already starting to show up.

Outdoor arena with palm trees, featuring a building labeled "McQueen's Racing Academy" on the left and an empty racing setup with checkered flag graphics on the right, reminiscent of the excitement found at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I went back to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy to see that the area was roped off. The refurbishment for the new Disney Villains show should begin soon.

Four images showcase a Disney-themed reversible jacket with logos and patterns, prominently displayed in a store near EPCOT. One image highlights its packaging, perfect for fans of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

At Once Upon a Time, I found this reversible jacket. I love how they come with a pouch! This makes the jacket super easy to carry! If you don’t want to wear it, just put it in the pouch and it won’t take up much room in your bag.

Close-up of two jewelry items featuring Disney characters, inspired by the magic of Disney's Hollywood Studios. The left piece has circular designs, while the right showcases three dangling charms. Prices are visible below each enchanting item.

At Legends of Hollywood, I found a few new Pandora charms!

I was never a Pandora girl, but once I saw a tiny AT-AT charm, I couldn’t resist them anymore.

Under a cloudy blue sky, people stroll past a store labeled "Apparel Accessories Jewelry" with its charming pink and white facade reminiscent of Disney's Boardwalk. A stroller stands nearby, while palm trees sway gently in the breeze.

Hello to the temporary door at Keystone!

A store display inspired by the charm of Disney's Boardwalk showcases an array of Disney-themed merchandise, with Mickey Mouse and Stitch hats, bags, and clothing adorning the shelves and mannequins.

When I went inside, only one question went through my mind: Where did all the Star Wars merchandise go? This store used to be full of Star Wars merchandise. Now, it’s Disney’s general clothing store.

A purple heart-shaped bag with a cartoon face and orange horns is on display, capturing the whimsical charm of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Oh hey, Figgy!! You made it to Hollywood Studios!

Amidst the lush greenery and excited visitors, the theme park entrance features a towering sci-fi robot structure. Signs for "Star Tours" beckon adventurers, capturing the essence of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Hi, my big baby AT-AT! It’s working fantastic.

The image captures the entrance to "Muppet*Vision 3D" at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with its striking clock tower and brick facade. Several visitors are strolling along the path, eager to experience this whimsical attraction.

The Muppets are still alive and well. Don’t worry everyone who is concerned they’re going to end up leaving the parks.

A street scene reminiscent of Disney’s Hollywood Studios features a decorated toy store adorned with festive garlands and a cheerful snowman outside. The buildings along this enchanting boardwalk are styled with vibrant holiday decorations.

In a few weeks, Santa will be here.

People are gathered near a "Single Rider Entrance" sign at Disney's Hollywood Studios, some standing and others sitting with strollers. The trees and rocky scenery in the background provide a picturesque setting reminiscent of EPCOT's lush surroundings.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is still testing out the single rider line. The latest developments make it so that the single rider line no longer skips the pre-shows.

People gathered in an outdoor market setting with rustic walls and hanging lamps, reminiscent of the charming boardwalk atmosphere at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

At the market, there was a crowd… Of course, it’s Mando.

A robot with a humanoid form stands behind a metal fence, holding a pole. A red and white banner is partially visible in the background, evoking the whimsical charm found at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

My man 8D-J8 is working hard as usual. He never gets a day off. I hope he gets the 40% Cast Member discount on merchandise.

A calendar displays December 2024. Below, theme park statuses on December 31 indicate "Main Entrance Pass - Blocked" for EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, while "Check for Reservations" applies to two other parks.

Speaking of Cast Members, Disney has announced this year’s holiday block-out date for Cast Members. Once again, Cast Members are blocked from Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on New Year’s Eve. They did open EPCOT for Cast Members back on December 31st, 2021.

A person hunches over tools and equipment in a sci-fi themed workshop, surrounded by mechanical parts and a glowing green light reminiscent of EPCOT's vibrant energy in the background.

Back to my loop, Dok is working as usual, but there are no new parts at Droid Depot.

Outdoor seating area with green umbrellas and people sitting and walking around. The bustling scene is reminiscent of a lively day at EPCOT, with trees providing shade under the blue sky in the background.

The temporary seating area between Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land still exists, and it’s pretty much unchanged.

Under the metal-framed roof, people sit at outdoor tables, with a baby stroller parked in front against a backdrop reminiscent of Disney's Hollywood Studios. The scene captures a charming blend of leisure and nostalgia, akin to the ambiance you'd find strolling down a boardwalk.

At the Pixar Plaza, the “Insides Out 2” wall and tables are gone! Back to the plain wall and the tables for now.

A hallway with patterned carpet leads to closed doors labeled "DISNEY THEATER," reminiscent of an attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. A maroon bench is placed against the tan wall, inviting guests to pause and take in the magic.

At Walt Disney Presents, they brought the blogger couch back to the lobby! This is where bloggers write/create their content. This couch was gone for a while, but it’s nice to sit it’s back.

Collage of four images showcasing "The Little Mermaid" attraction facade with vibrant artwork of Ariel, King Triton, and Ursula, set against the lively backdrop of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I don’t know what happened to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid scrim. Did Milton do this?! Surely, it could be responsible for some of the damage, but some of the design has completely faded away.

Off to Boardwalk (Again)

Catch a scenic boat ride from Disney's Hollywood Studios to the BoardWalk, with departures every 20-30 minutes starting at 11:50 and ending at 13:10. It's a delightful way to explore, whether heading to the BoardWalk or making your way towards EPCOT.

I checked Google Maps for Friendship boat times and made my way over to the dock.

A walkway leads to a covered dock with a ferry boat moored alongside, reminiscent of the charming Boardwalk at EPCOT. A wheelchair is visible on the path, ensuring accessibility for all. The background features shimmering water, lush trees, and a partly cloudy sky.

Ta-da! The boat is here.

This Google Maps feature comes in pretty handy and makes my life a wee bit easier. I can plan my reporting time accordingly. Off to Boardwalk (again.)

White bakery building with ornate sign and lanterns, reminiscent of Disney's Hollywood Studios charm. A board in front reads "Private Event in Progress," capturing the perfect blend of intimacy and allure for any PHOTO REPORT.

Still no sign of life at The Cake Bake Shop, but I got a closer picture this time.

EPCOT

Metal scaffolding structures grace the waterfront, reminiscent of EPCOT's innovative spirit, with trees providing a lush backdrop under a partly cloudy sky.

Hello from EPCOT! All the taco babies were in the lagoon today.

A hand holds a silver cat charm with a purple gemstone, nestled inside an open pink jewelry box, reminiscent of the whimsical treasures found on the boardwalk.

My first stop was Port of Entry for the Pandora FIGMENT CHARM! The Cast Member working told me they’ve sold 10 figments in an hour!! Nana needs to adopt him soon.

People gather outside the Australia pavilion at an outdoor event, with trees lining a scenic boardwalk and a partly cloudy sky in the background.

Next, I stopped by the Australia booth to see that it was finally in use. It took them about 50 days from the beginning of Food and Wine to make the booth operational. Happy for them.

The last stop is Creations Shop for a merchandise check!

Mickey, Goofy Crewneck – $59.99

Four sweatshirts on display: two red with Mickey Mouse and "Walt Disney World" text, reminiscent of EPCOT adventures, and two blue with Goofy and "Disneyland" text, conjuring the excitement of a stroll down Disney's Hollywood Studios' Boardwalk.

These long-sleeve crewnecks feature the Walt Disney World logo in white. The front of each shirt features the front of a character, while the back features the back of each character in the same pose. Above you can see Mickey and Goofy (and even Daisy poking in).

Mission Space Pin – $14.99

A hand holds a Disney pin featuring Mickey Mouse in a spacesuit with the "Mission: SPACE" logo, capturing the adventurous spirit of EPCOT.

Mickey is going to space!

One Last Trip to The Cake Bake Shop

People strolling along a sunny sidewalk reminiscent of Disney's Hollywood Studios, with white buildings and storefronts. Some individuals are carrying drinks or wearing hats, enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Back to The Cake Bake Shop one last time (Yes, this is my third attempt of the day). There still weren’t any guests or Cast Members. Guess that means we’re not opening. No Nana’s review of The Cake Bake Shop just yet.

A menu section at Disney's Hollywood Studios showcasing "Milk & Hot Chocolate" delights, featuring options like Hot Chocolate, Unicorn Hot Chocolate, and Whole Milk, each with its own enticing price.

I am a little excited to try $12 Unicorn Hot Chocolate and $9 iced tea.

That’s it for today! I found my car with no trouble! See you again next time. Have a magical weekend!
