Howdy! The weather is starting to get chilly again, unfortunately. I spent the morning in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there was Tower of Terror art available for purchase, Grogu and The Mandalorian were out meeting guests, and I even park-hopped to Magic Kingdom.

Good Morning from Hollywood Studios

A crowd eagerly waits in line at Disney's Hollywood Studios entrance on the left. On the right, a vintage truck with a hose is parked near an ice cream stand, setting a nostalgic scene for this 2024 photo report.

I usually choose the wrong line to enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios, today is no different. It was only about ten minutes until I got inside. The Oscar truck has returned after a lengthy refurbishment.

Holiday Decor in Hollywood Studios

Holiday-themed decorations in Disney's Hollywood Studios park feature elves, a dinosaur with a Santa hat, and pink flamingos mingling with a reindeer among festive plants. Capture the magic just in time for a memorable photo report on 12/20/2024.

I am an absolute fan of the Hollywood Studios holiday decor. Santa Gertie, the pups, the elves, and the deer are my mid-century modern holiday dream. If I could live in this world permanently I would in a heartbeat.

Muppets Courtyard

A collage of theme park scenes with buildings, a fountain, storefronts, and a "Restricted Entry" sign showcases the allure of Disney's Hollywood Studios. Subtle nods to Galaxy's Edge can be spotted amid the vibrant display.

Muppets Courtyard has turned into a place of contemplation. The news that the Muppets will be leaving for Monstropolis has hit every Disney fan a little hard, but there is hope that Muppet Vision 3D will return one day in some capacity. Be sure to stay tuned to our website for more updates.

Galaxy’s Edge

A person in Mandalorian costume stands outdoors at Disney's Hollywood Studios, proudly displaying a coordinator badge on the right, ready for the 12/20/2024 photo report.

The Mandalorian and Grogu were out visiting guests in Batuu this morning. I also noticed that the coordinators in Galaxy’s Edge have new coordinator pins that fit the land much better than the typical pin you see in other lands across the Disney property.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Banners for "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" attraction, featuring Ariel and friends, adorn building exteriors at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Capture the magic in your photo report during your visit on 12/20/2024.

The Voyage of the Little Mermaid signage hasn’t changed much since they updated the scrim behind the main entrance. It’s strange to me that they still have not updated the washed-out billboard on the theater. They change the billboards in Hollywood Studios often for the shows they are promoting.

Tower of Terror

A stunning collection of framed Tower of Terror posters and art adorns a decorative wall, showcasing both vintage and modern designs from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

There are now pieces of art that have been displayed in the gift shop for ages and are finally available for purchase through The Art of Disney on Demand in the Tower of Terror gift shop. The Tip Top Club and the Hollywood Tower Hotel pieces have been living in my head rent-free since I was like 8and I’m thirty now.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

A large red guitar sculpture on the left, echoing the vibrant energy of Hollywood Studios; a framed photo of a band with signatures on the right adds to the allure.

The signed picture of Aerosmith has returned to Rock the Shop. It has been missing for months so it is nice to see that it’s back. Back in May we noticed that the piece was missing.

Bus to Magic Kingdom

Split image: Left shows a Gate 36 sign for Magic Kingdom transportation, dated 12/20/2024. Right features a colorful bus with cartoon graphics parked at a station, ready to whisk guests to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Perfect for our latest PHOTO REPORT capturing the magic in transit.

It was a quick morning in Hollywood Studios so I thought I should check in on the most hopping park, Magic Kingdom. The busses are always hit or miss at Disney World, but I will say during the busy season like the holidays Disney schedules way more Cast Members than an average day. I only waited about 10 minutes until I was picked up and we were on our way.

Magic Kingdom

A bustling theme park entrance welcomes visitors walking towards a fairy-tale castle, surrounded by festive decorations and clear blue skies. Nearby, Disney's Hollywood Studios beckons with attractions like the iconic Tower of Terror Art creating an atmosphere of adventure and magic.

Not surprising but the park was busy, not as busy as I thought it might be, but it certainly was the holiday crowds. With Christmas coming up I become more sentimental over the Christmas decor, I will miss it in January.

Magic Kingdom Updates

The guest relations window has reopened from its brief closure for refurbishment. However, the Swiss Family Treehouse has not reopened to guests as scheduled. I spoke with the Guest Experience Team who said they hope to reopen the Treehouse either tomorrow or the next day.

I hope you enjoyed our brief day in Hollywood Studios. Let me know in the comments below if you have a favorite moment from the day or something you would like to see in my photo report in the future! Have a wonderful weekend!
