Gertie the dinosaur has donned her Santa hat and picked up an ornament for the 2024 holiday season. The rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also decked out with Christmas décor.

Entrance & Hollywood Boulevard Christmas Decorations

A festive crowd gathers outside Disney's Hollywood Studios entrance, where the art deco-style architecture is adorned with Christmas decor and multiple flagpoles stand proudly against a cloudy sky.

Above the ticket booths is a long string of silver garland. It’s secured with red bows and decorated with colorful shiny baubles.

The same kind of garland is along the neighboring buildings and the backs of the ticket booths.

Visitors gather around a vintage gas station-themed attraction adorned with Christmas decor. Retro gas pumps stand alongside a billboard, while Gertie, sporting a Santa hat, adds a festive touch to the nostalgic scene.

Silver garland is wrapped around the supports next to the gas pumps at Oscar’s. The lampposts in the entrance area feature Christmas tree decorations below the lights. The trees are adorned with large red bows, baubles, and candy canes.

A busy street in Disney's Hollywood Studios, adorned with Christmas decor and lined with palm trees, sees cheerful visitors strolling along the pavement under a cloudy sky.

The lampposts along Hollywood Boulevard feature tinsel shooting stars. Tinsel stars were already installed on Sunset Boulevard. The facades of Hollywood Boulevard have their own wreaths and garlands.

A bustling street with people walking, surrounded by themed buildings. Palm trees line the street, and holiday decorations, including festive garlands and stars, hang above. Gertie adds a whimsical touch to the Christmas decor that brightens the entire scene.

Above the street are lengths of silver tinsel hung with red and silver garlands. Red and green bells with golden bows are every few feet along the garland. Yellow stars are in the center, leading guests to the Chinese Theater.

A large building with traditional architecture features towers and palm trees, all adorned with festive Christmas decor. In front, a circular structure with text sits surrounded by plants. The overcast sky casts a soft glow on Disney's Hollywood Studios' seasonal charm.

Crews have begun installing the rink for “Glisten!” on the stage in front of the Chinese Theater. The new ice skating show will be performed during Disney Jollywood Nights, a separately ticketed after-hours event. More of the skating surface has been installed overnight, although it remains covered by a “Glisten!” tarp.

A large white banner with the word "Glisten" in blue is displayed on the ground, surrounded by festive Christmas decor. Decorative barriers, trees adorned with ornaments, and buildings glimmer in the background, creating a scene reminiscent of Disney's Hollywood Studios during holiday time.

It looks like the rink is made of synthetic skate-friendly paneling, not real ice. Interlocking edges are visible. Sandbags hold the tarp down. Curving decorative elements also now line the flowerbeds around the stage.

Echo Lake Christmas Decorations

A lagoon with Gertie, a green dinosaur statue donning a Santa hat among colorful buoys. A ship is docked on the right, surrounded by palm trees and a cloudy sky, all adding to the whimsical Christmas decor.

It looks like someone spilled their box of oversized ornaments into Echo Lake. Blue, green, red, and yellow ornaments seem to float along the lake’s surface (they are actually secured in place underwater).

The park’s giant Christmas tree will eventually be installed on the peninsula jutting into the lake behind Gertie.

The green umbrellas around the lake have been decorated to resemble Christmas trees. They have sparkly gold stars on top.

Light green strips of fabric are wrapped around the umbrellas. These feature printed ornaments and fluffy white trim.

Gertie wears a classic red velvet Santa hat with white fur trim and a puff ball. A yellow-gold ornament hangs from her mouth.

A giant dinosaur statue named Gertie sports a Santa hat and clutches a bauble in its mouth, towering near an ice cream stand amidst lush greenery, with the cityscape in the background.

The snow caps on Gertie’s head and back are year-round decorations. The life-size dinosaur building is based on the first-ever animated dinosaur, created by Winsor McCay in 1914. A Christmas Gertie cookie will be available during Disney Jollywood Nights.

People standing outside a vintage-style restaurant with a "Hollywood & Vine" sign admire the charming Christmas decor and potted plants. Gertie the dinosaur could almost be part of this whimsical scene.

The buildings around Echo Lake are also decorated. Hollywood & Vine has garland and decorations hanging from its overhang. Minnie’s Holiday Dine will be available for lunch and dinner at Hollywood & Vine from November 6, 2024 to January 4, 2025.

Silver wreaths hang over shuttered windows. They feature multi-colored bows and snowman figures.

Outside the Tune-In Lounge is a silver wreath with red poinsettias. In the center of the wreath is a pair of golden bird figures.

Silver garlands line the second-story balconies of 50’s Prime Time Cafe. They are adorned with light-colored baubles and brown-gold leaves.

Though the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost has long been closed, it’s still decorated for the holiday season.

Silver garland on the second-story balcony features shiny red bows, baubles, bells, and ribbons reading, “Jingle Bells.” The decorations hanging from sconces feature toys like a train engine.

Grand Avenue Christmas Decorations

A colorful building exterior showcases a large cartoon frog face mural with a Santa hat perched above the doorway, surrounded by festive painted designs and a bench on the sidewalk.

We saw Christmas lights through the windows of Stage 1 Company Store on Grand Avenue. The store is closed and only occasionally used for special events. During Disney Jollywood Nights, it will host special PhotoPass opportunities, including a “Muppet Christmas Carol” photo op.

Some of the string lights are yellow while others are magenta. They hang among the film equipment props throughout the story.

The Christmas decorations on It’s A Wonderful Shop are nothing new. The former year-round Christmas store is now a nearly year-round closed store. Last year, it hosted a Santa Claus meet and greet. It’s expected to become Santa’s Workshop again, where Santa Duffy will meet during Disney Jollywood Nights.

Pixar Plaza

Some green tinsel is wrapped around lampposts near the Pixar Plaza entrance. The posts also feature yellow tinsel stars near the lamps.

Toy Story Land Christmas Decorations

Giant Woody statue from Toy Story, wearing a red and white scarf, stands next to colorful blocks spelling "LAND" with festive Christmas decor amidst bamboo trees.

The toys of Andy’s backyard also decorated for the holidays. The larger-than-life Woody at the land’s main entrance now wears a striped scarf. The Toy Story Land sign features giant ornaments hanging from green garland.

Gertie the green dinosaur sports festive Christmas decor, as a cowgirl statue proudly holds shimmering lights. In the background, vibrant blocks and a red roller coaster track add a splash of color to this whimsical scene.

The giant string lights of Toy Story Land are a year-round element. But the Rex figure balancing on a Jenga pile now wears cardboard reindeer antlers.

Near Woody’s Lunch Box is a Hamm sugar cookie wearing a Santa hat. A toy soldier is holding up the cookie from behind.

People stand in line at a vibrant food kiosk adorned with oversized fast food items, like fries, drinks, and condiments, while Gertie cheerfully hands out meals under a sunny sky.

Across the front of the quick-service venue is a green garland strung with giant red baubles and popcorn.

At the other Toy Story Land entrance is a large medallion. It’s decorated with giant pieces of pasta painted gold. Drawn in the center of the medallion is Angel Kitty, a Christmas decoration featured in “Toy Story That Time Forgot.”

Tickets are available for Disney Jollywood Nights, which runs on select evenings from November 9 to December 21.
