A Florida woman was caught trying to sneak into an off-stage area at EPCOT on Halloween night and then bit a deputy, sending him to the hospital, according to a newly released arrest report.

Alix Amozig, 24, of Merritt Island, was arrested and charged with trespass, resisting an officer without violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Her trial is scheduled for March 31, and she has pleaded not guilty, Orange Circuit Court records show.
However, Amozig’s legal case is becoming more complex because the deputy who arrested her is facing his own criminal charges for an unrelated incident.
It took the Orange County Sheriff’s Office more than three months to release Amozig’s arrest report which is why WDWNT is writing about the incident now.
Amozig was caught trying to open a door to a restricted area on the Monorail platform at EPCOT and then began “acting erratically,” the arrest report said.
“Amozig refused to listen to verbal commands and walked back down the Monorail ramp and sat down on the bench. Amozig claimed she could not breathe and requested the fire department,” the arrest report said.
Walt Disney World paramedics from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District responded to evaluate her.
“Amozig was speaking ‘illogical nonsense,’” the arrest report said. “She resisted medical attention and struck a medic in the face, knocking his glasses off his face.”
The medic declined to press charges.
The situation was unfolding at 10:50 p.m. when EPCOT was closed, but Amozig kept trying to go deeper into the park, ignoring the warnings that she would be trespassed.
Deputy James Waters spoke with Amozig at a gift shop near World Showcase.
She appeared to be intoxicated and was not compliant with my orders. Due to her erratic behavior and her prior aggressive behavior towards security and medics, I attempted to handcuff her for safety while I continued the trespass investigation.
She began yelling at me and pulling away to avoid being handcuffed, ignoring my commands to place her hands behind her back. I attempted a wrist lock to gain her compliance, which was ineffective. I then maneuvered her to the ground to safely and more efficiently handcuff her.

Amozig’s forehead was scraped, the arrest report said.
“I continued verbal commands for her to comply and she continued pulling away. I reached for her right arm to pull it to the small of her back and she maneuvered her head down to my right hand and bit my hand, resulting in two small abrasions. I was then able to handcuff her and continue my investigation,” the arrest report said.
Both the deputy and Amozig both ended up at Dr. Phillips Hospital that night.
“After her discharge, I then transported her to the Orange County Jail,” Waters wrote in the arrest report.
Months later, Waters was arrested for domestic violence battery in Polk County, according to local media reports. WESH 2 Orlando reported he was put on paid administrative leave after his arrest in December.
The state attorney’s office has declined to pursue criminal charges and said the victim did not want to prosecute Waters, according to a Jan. 22 Polk County Court filing.
A Jan. 9 filing added to Amozig’s court case said Waters has been placed on the Brady List, which helps the state attorney’s office keep track of law enforcement considered untrustworthy to testify in court.
Amozig’s attorney did not respond to a request for comment for this story.
