The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has returned for 2025. With it returns the Figment-inspired Spaceship Earth Light show along with the Muppets’ “Rainbow Connection” inspired show.

Shows begin around dusk each night during the festival with the regular Beacons of Light show beginning at the top of each hour followed by the Figment Inspired show and then Rainbow Connection. The shows rotate about every ten minutes.

A large spherical structure illuminated with colorful lights at night, reminiscent of a Figment-inspired dreamscape, is surrounded by a gathering crowd and supported by three angled legs.

Figment’s light show is inspired by the original Journey into Imagination ride and begins with the voice of Dreamfinder singing lines from “One Little Spark,” the ride’s theme song. As Dreamfinder mentions different colors in the song, the lights on Spaceship Earth change.

People gather at night in front of a large, illuminated geodesic sphere with colorful lights, reminiscent of a Figment-inspired EPCOT Festival of the Arts scene, surrounded by trees and flags.

Figment sings the “Imagination” chorus of “One Little Spark” as the lights continue to dance, covering Spaceship Earth in white stars. The ball is then covered in a rainbow of colors that shift with the lyrics and beats of the song.

Epcot's Spaceship Earth dazzles with colorful lights at night, echoing the vibrancy of the Festival of the Arts, as visitors and flags surround this iconic beacon.

Figment wasn’t alone in returning as the Muppets inspired “Rainbow Connection” light show begins shortly after the last spark of Figment’s contribution.

Debuting at the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, this show features rainbow lighting to the soundtrack of “Rainbow Connection.”

“Rainbow Connection” is sang by Kermit and Miss Piggy as lights change on Spaceship Earth. Walt Disney Imagineering originally shared photos of this show on instagram in 2022 with the caption, “As we celebrate the artistry of the world around us during this festival, color and imagination play an important role and our latest lighting design reflects those ideas. The core values of EPCOT and the optimistic symbolism of Spaceship Earth are perfectly complemented by The Muppets singing “Rainbow Connection” with this new look!”

Disney continues to place importance on The Muppets after the announcement that Muppet*Vision 3-D is closing at Disney’s Hollywood studios to make way for a new Monster’s Inc. themed land.
