The Disneyland Railroad has been confirmed to return to service soon. After months of refurbishment, including new track, a reopening date has been added to the calendar.

Disneyland Railroad Reopening Date

A red steam locomotive with a striped canopy, reminiscent of the Disneyland Railroad, is parked at a train station platform, surrounded by trees and brick buildings.

Guests will once again be able to take a train ride around the park starting Friday, October 25.

Initially, only the New Orleans Square Station was closed as construction carried on for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the Haunted Mansion grounds. On August 5, the whole railroad system closed to guests for further work.

It’s unknown if the New Orleans Square Station will be available on that date or if it will still be closed due to the local construction. Other stations are available at Main Street, Mickey’s Toontown, and Tomorrowland. The full loop is 18 minutes, but guests can board or depart at any station.

We spotted the train testing in the park recently and predicted the imminent return. Now, Disney has confirmed the date will be shared with the opening of the newly-reimagined Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree.
