After construction of the Disney Treasure was completed and it left the Meyer Werft shipyard, the ship went through trials in the North Sea. Disney then officially took ownership of the Treasure during a delivery ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands.

On October 29, the Disney Treasure embarked from Eemshaven and is now on its way to Port Canaveral, Florida. The transatlantic journey is over 4,500 miles and will take two weeks to complete. Its first port of call will be Funchal, Portugal, where it will make a brief stop before heading back to sea. During the crossing, final preparations will be made.

The Disney Treasure’s maiden voyage will set off from Port Canaveral on December 21, 2024. Check out the Disney Treasure maiden voyage and inaugural sailings merchandise.

The Treasure will feature the debut of “Tale of Moana,” a new Broadway-style stage show. One of its restaurants will be the new Plaza de Coco featuring two dinner shows. It will also feature the first Haunted Mansion Parlor.
