“Celebrate Soulfully” returns to Disney Parks in honor of Black History Month with several performances, limited-time offerings, and more.
Celebrate Soulfully at Disney Parks
Guests will be able to take part in cultural experiences including performances, artwork, meet-and-greets, and various foods and drinks at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort as part of “Celebrate Soulfully.”
Walt Disney World Resort
Magic Kingdom Celebrations
On February 1, Tamron Hall, Emmy-winning journalist and talk show host, will serve as Grand Marshal in a “magical parade” at Magic Kingdom, which will feature “popular Disney characters, lively music, and dazzling displays.”
Artwork at Disney Springs and EPCOT
Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression will feature the works of artists including Ernest Shaw, Nneka Jones, Nardstar, and Marci Swett. A new mural will also debut by Washington D.C.-based artist, Brandon Hill.
Participating in this year’s EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts are several Black artists showcasing their work and making appearances on various days:

- Ryan Riller
- Larissa Brown
- Mark Page
Disney on Broadway Concert Series
Several stars are performing songs from Disney Movies at the America Gardens Theatre in EPCOT:
- Jelani Remy (The Lion King)
- Alton Fitzgerald White (The Lion King)
- Michael James Scott (Aladdin) and Kissy Simmons (The Lion King)
Cultural Flavors
Two limited-time food offerings will also be available during February. The first is a Blackened Salmon with Plant-based Hot Italian Sausage-Bean Ragoût, which will be available from February 1-28 at various locations across Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
The second item is a Peach Cobbler, with cinnamon panna cotta, peach cobbler, brown sugar streusel, and whipped cream with a chocolate piece. This treat will also be available from February 1-28 at various locations across Disney resort hotels and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disneyland Resort
“Celebrate Gospel”
“Celebrate Gospel” concerts will return for two days to the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland. February 8 will showcase DOE while Melvin Crispell, III performs on February 15. On both days, guests can also enjoy award-winning musical artists and community choirs from across Southern California.
Soulful Cuisine
Two limited-time dishes are also available to honor Black Heritage Month. One is a Catfish Po’Boy, featuring Southern-style dusted catfish filet with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise on toasted New Orleans French bread with remoulade sauce served with black-eyed pea stew, hot water cornbread, and house-made pickles. It will be available from January 31 through March 2 at Tiana’s Palace.
The second dish is a Fried Chicken Bowl from Troubadour Tavern, which includes fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, collard greens, and sweet potato cornbread. This dish will be available Friday through Sunday only from January 31 through February 23.
More limited-time offerings for Black History Month will be announced for Disneyland at a later date.
