The other day, my sister suddenly remembered an instance where we visited Disneyland as children in the 80s and were given a 7″ vinyl record for free with our admission.

We didn’t have the equipment to play it at home, and she doesn’t remember offhand what the contents were supposed to be. In fact, she’s not sure she’s accurately remembering the situation. She has been unable to find any information about it online, largely due to “Disneyland record” not being a very useful search term.

So I put it to the old-timers here: Was this a thing at any point, such as for the 30th anniversary or an attendance-boosting promotion? Did they in fact give out these tiny records at the ticket booth? And especially…if so, what was on them? Songs? Attraction summaries? Messages from Walt from beyond the grave?

Is my sister just crazy? She’s ok with it if she is.
