It feels like the forum is low on steam lately, so I thought I’d devise a creative game we can play. If and when we want to, that is.
For this game, one person comes up with an Armchair Imagineering prompt, other people offer ideas to fulfill it, the first person chooses the one they like the best, and that person can suggest a new prompt. Prompts can be as broad or narrow as you like, and you can throw in all kinds of requirements to keep it challenging. Pretend to be possessed by the ghost of Walt, taking back control of the company! Pretend to be a half-dozen empty gray suits from Marketing, giving impossible conditions to the Imagineers and refusing to understand the assignment you yourself handed out! Pretend to be an Imagineering head, getting your team to make a silk purse out of the sow’s ear Marketing just handed you! Pretend to be a Disneyland fan stretching your creative muscles! Let’s see how long we can keep this going!
I’ll start since it’s my idea. What with the holiday season just getting underway…
PROMPT: A seasonal live entertainment offering for Fantasyland. CONDITION: Must involve several Disney Princesses in important roles. CONDITION: Must “roam” throughout Fantasyland rather than being confined to one location. CONDITION: Must suggest tie-in souvenirs.
I release it to you all!
