Big news from the Disney universe, a brand-new Disney destination is coming to Abu Dhabi! For the first time ever, Disney will open a theme park in the Middle East, bringing the magic to Yas Island, one of the region’s top entertainment hubs.
This exciting new resort will be Disney’s seventh theme park destination worldwide and is set to offer immersive experiences like only Disney can. The new park will be developed in partnership with Miral, the team behind other Yas Island attractions like Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
While Miral will handle the building and operations, Disney’s world-famous Imagineers will lead the design, meaning fans can expect that signature storytelling and attention to detail we all know and love.
The Abu Dhabi park will blend modern design with Disney magic, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects the culture and innovation of the region. Disney CEO Bob Iger shared that this project will feature all-new ways to bring stories to life, making it unlike anything we’ve seen before.
No opening date has been announced just yet, but construction is expected to take several years. This marks an exciting chapter for Disney fans around the world, especially those in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia, who will now have easier access to a Disney park closer to home.
