As we approach the 70th anniversary of the Disneyland Resort, we want to honor Walt Disney, the original dreamer who started it all. His vision, imagination, and unmatched sense of wonder gave life to The Happiest Place on Earth. Join us as we journey through the resort to explore the places connected to Walt Disney and the legacy he has left for generations to come. Source: Disney Walt Disney’s early years in Marceline, Missouri Our journey begins on Main Street, U.S.A., which was partially inspired by Walt Disney’s memories of his boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri. While Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1901, his years in Marceline shaped his imagination and had a defining impact on Walt. When guests step onto Main Street, U.S.A., they feel as though they have stepped into another era in a small town. Walt’s family moved to Marceline in 1906, and he would later write, “To tell the truth, more things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened since—or are likely to in the future.” Did you know? Guests can spot at least two nods to Marceline, on Main Street, U.S.A. The first is at the entrance to the Main Street Cinema. They can look for the ticket seller named Tilly, and see that her nametag says she is from Marceline, Missouri. Additionally, near the lockers by the Market House, a sign reads Hotel Marceline in tribute to

Welcome to the Funhouse. The twisted world of Art the Clown comes to life in this year’s all-new “Terrifier” haunted house inspired by the slasher film franchise that has consistently terrorized filmgoers since 2008. The torment kicks off at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, August 29, and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 4. Spewing from creator, writer, director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone along with Dark Age Cinema Productions, Terrifier introduced a new slasher film series to the cinematic world, featuring Art the Clown, a supernatural entity who terrorizes the fictional town of Miles County, New York, on Halloween and tortures victims in creatively cruel and sickeningly sinister ways. The Terrifier film franchise has evolved into three chilling and gory movies with a fourth film in development and a Halloween Horror Nights haunted house on the way. During Halloween Horror Nights, guests will experience an unfathomable level of gore as they try to escape becoming Art the Clown’s next victim. “Terrifier” is a grisly haunted house oozing with a new sense of terror that takes guests into Art the Clown’s gruesome Funhouse, which first appeared in Terrifier 2. Guests will be overwhelmed by the sights, sounds, smells, and dread of Art’s grotesque kills, gleefully displayed for all to see. As fans make their way through the claustrophobic corridors, they will encounter familiar faces, including Vicky and the Little Pale Girl, and witness iconic kills from the franchise. Chaos reigns at the Clown Café, terror festers in a

When it comes to classic Disney music, it’s hard not to think of the iconic tune from the beloved attraction, “it’s a small world.” This fan-favorite experience has captivated audiences for decades, with its catchy melody first introduced at the New York World’s Fair in 1964 and later at Disneyland in 1966 before enchanting Disney parks around the world. The late Richard and Robert Sherman wrote the song’s original verses, and before his passing, Richard wrote a new verse as his final gift to Disney. The last verse of this beloved song will debut in the finale scene of “it’s a small world” at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning July 17, 2025. The update to the finale scene is meant to add to the attraction’s legacy and further emphasize the song’s meaning. As Gregg Sherman, son of Richard Sherman, explains, the new verse is intended to “celebrate that there’s more that unites us than divides us, and reinforce the message of that song.” For those who want to experience the new last verse outside the parks, they can listen to the digital single wherever they listen to music. There will also be a “It’s A Small World” (70th Anniversary) special edition vinyl for purchase. More “it’s a small world” History Since its conception, the beloved attraction has become a symbol of unity and embodies hope for a world where all people are celebrated through the connections that make us
