Held once during each sailing, this themed night transports guests into the swashbuckling world of pirates, combining Disney’s signature magic with a high-energy atmosphere. Insider Tip: Pirate Night is usually on a port day. If you want to know exactly what night, you can email Disney Cruise Line (you’ll need to give them your cruise confirmation number) to ask, and they will get back to you within a day or two!

Start the party early with a fun family game show in the afternoon. Kids can indulge their inner adventures with activities at the youth clubs—and don’t forget to take a picture of your own pirate family with Mickey and his crew! Enjoy trivia, games, and meet-and-greets with Characters dressed in pirate garb.
Insider Tip: Keep an eye out! In the afternoon, a Pirate party bandana is left on each guest’s bed–tie it on for a little pirate flair!
Character Appearances:
One of the highlights of Pirate Night is the chance to meet iconic Disney characters in their pirate attire. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and others often don pirate hats and gear, offering photo opportunities and making the night even more memorable for families. Don’t miss the early evening show, “Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean,” where Mickey and his friends have a run-in with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. It’s swashbuckling fun for all ages!
A Pirate-Themed Dinner:
Enjoy dinner in one of the Main Dining restaurants where servers, dressed for the occasion, will greet you with a cheerful “Ahoy matey” and “Arrr!” Once seated, the food and fun await! Dining rooms are transformed with pirate decorations, and cast members often wear pirate costumes. The menu features playful, nautical-themed dishes, ensuring everyone enjoys a flavorful feast with a touch of whimsy.
During our recent sailing on the Disney Dream, we were lucky enough to dine at Animator’s Palate on Pirates Night, and we discovered this is our favorite spot to dine on this night! The restaurant features screens of all sizes around the room and showcases clips of original animated sketches of Disney films that feature pirates, which makes for the ultimate, immersive Pirate Night experience!
The Pirate Party:
The night culminates with the thrilling Pirate Night party on deck. Expect vibrant music, dancing, and a lively atmosphere. Don your most swashbuckling garb for a rollicking rock-and-roll extravaganza, and enjoy a party unlike anything on the high seas.
Captain Redd—a descendent of the famous red-headed rogue from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction—and her band of head-banging buccaneers will perform famous radio hits, plus a rockin’ rendition of the classic pirate tune “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me).”
When Redd assembles a fearsome council of captains—including the notorious scoundrel Captain Jack Sparrow—they’ll unlock a sparkling treasure that lights the night sky in a fantastic fireworks display, underscored by an original arrangement of the sensational soundtrack based on the classic Disney films in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. The fireworks show is weather permitting and may be postponed or canceled due to weather conditions, including high winds.
