The trio of male dolphins that once called The Seas Pavilion home were given a new residence at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach last October. Disney explained that this relocation was a result of careful consideration for the dolphins’ welfare as construction projects began to impact their living environment within The Seas.
Construction has begun on the former dolphin tank, marked by the presence of tarps erected on the left side of the structure.
The sounds of power tools could be heard from the other side of the tank, while a diver worked above the interconnecting tunnel. The specific nature of the tank renovations and the potential future inhabitants remain undisclosed.
Situated within the World Nature section of EPCOT, The Seas With Nemo & Friends has a rich history. Originally debuting in 1986 as The Living Seas, the pavilion underwent a significant transformation in 2007, incorporating the beloved “Finding Nemo” storyline. While the EPCOT reimagining brought back the classic “Living Seas” logo, the pavilion continues to evolve with recent enhancements such as a modernized nursery, revitalized special effects, and a refreshed exterior appearance.
