Add The Disney Holiday Playlist to Your Traditions During ‘That Time of Year’

Happy merry, holly jolly season’s greetings here! One of my favorite traditions is decorating the house while holiday music fills the air.  Music adds that extra touch of magic and now you can stream a specially selected playlist of Disney holiday songs from home too! The playlist includes celebratory songs from “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” and the festive finale for “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios like “Ring in the Season,” “That Time of Year,” and “When We’re Together.” Other favorites include music from Disney Parks, the Muppets, and DCappella. Find a complete list of ways to listen here. Love and joy and peace on earth and tidings of good cheer!  What are your favorite traditions during “That Time of Year?” #DisneyMagicMoments

Earlier this week, we shared a recipe for Ham Sliders with Pineapple Cherry Jam that is sure to take your Thanksgiving leftover game to the next level. Today, we are talkin’ turkey…and stuffing! We recently published the Foodie Guide to the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays highlighting so many delicious dishes from the Holiday Kitchens this year.  But for today, I selected one of my favorite recipes from a past holiday festival – Leftover Stuffing Waffles with Turkey, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, and Homemade Cranberry Sauce. This remix of the traditional Thanksgiving feast is the ultimate plate of leftovers – complete with crispy stuffing waffles! (Disney bonus points if you make your stuffing waffles with a Mickey-shaped waffle maker found at shopDisney.com!)   Happy Thanksgiving from our Disney Kitchens! #DisneyMagicMoments: Strap Yourselves In for a ‘Ride & Learn’ Aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

One of my favorite scenes of any Star Wars film is when Han Solo takes the Millennium Falcon into the asteroid field in “The Empire Strikes Back” (celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, by the way). As a kid, I’d watch the Falcon gracefully dodge those asteroids – avoiding TIE fighters at the same time – and dream of being onboard the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.” That dream came true last year with the debut of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland park in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. In this groundbreaking attraction, you walk those iconic curved hallways and then strap into the cockpit to take control of the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. I must’ve had some galactic dust in my eye the first time I entered the Falcon – I’m sure that’s why my vision went all watery and blurry for a moment, right? Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is an amazing, immersive attraction that gives you a Star Wars experience like never before. That’s why I’m so thrilled to share this latest video in our “Ride & Learn” series, so you can take a virtual trip on this “bucket of bolts” and discover some fun facts about the attraction along the way. Check it out! Still want to know more? Of course you do! Here are a few extra fun facts about Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: The Millennium Falcon,

planDisney: Our Top Face Covering Tips

Comfortable shoes…check! Shorts and bathing suits…check! Mickey ears and face coverings… heck! Now when you are packing for your Walt Disney World Resort face coverings are as important as the comfy shoes you bring. Today the planDisney panelists are here with some timely tips on selection of face coverings, how many you need, and yes, even tips on how to get that stylish teenager to enjoy wearing a mask! Choices, choices, and a few more choices are what Lauren recommends. Just as you don’t want to wear the same shirt each day, neither do your family members want to wear the same mask each day. Lauren says her family is most comfortable when they can select their mask for the day. Maybe your family prefers a solid color, or perhaps they prefer a print from the amazing collection shopDisney has to offer. No matter your style, pack up as many as you desire. Samantha agrees different styles for different days is a great recommendation, and she also suggests trying out a variety of disposable and cloth masks while running errands at home. For Samantha, this means having her children put their mask on before they leave their house and not removing it until they get home. “Then when you need to wear a mask for longer periods of time, like during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you’ll know which mask you find the most comfortable.” planDisney Pro Tip: Bring a small package of detergent suggests Lauren. “I washed everyone’s

#DisneyMagicMoments: Disney Chefs Serving up Extra Holiday Magic This Thanksgiving Thanks to Wishing Well Coins

Thanksgiving is well-known for being filled with love and appreciation as loved ones come together to express what they’re most thankful for. And while this year’s holiday will be a little different, one thing remains just as prevalent and fills me with immense gratitude: the support our culinary cast members give to Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida—an organization that provides housing, emergency services and diversion for local homeless men, women and children.   For more than 20 years, our culinary teams have supported Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida by providing freshly-prepared meals to feed the nearly 650 residents who call the Coalition home—including on Thanksgiving Day.  Even though this year’s holiday meal serve will be done a little differently, Chef James and his culinary team are carrying on the tradition and whipping up a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal complete with all the classic fixings — roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, stuffing, salad, rolls, cranberry sauce and dessert. And to help the Coalition with their modified meal serve, the Walt Disney World team is also donating hundreds of to-go containers and $20,000 collected from a very special place at Walt Disney World Resort: our fountains! Every year, thousands of guests toss coins into fountains at our Resort and make a wish, and this year the funds collected from those fountains are being given to the Coalition to help make their annual Thanksgiving meal service possible.  As you begin your own meal planning, Chef James is
