We like to praise Disneyland for inspiring our own flights of imagination, so I figure it’s time for us to pony up: What are some specific imaginative thoughts you have about the lands, attractions, etc.? I’ll start with one of mine, pointless but somehow compelling:

The T. rex skeleton on Big Thunder Mountain is the remains of the very same beast we see duking it out with the stegosaurus in the Primeval World diorama.

The DLRR narrator tells us that the Primeval World is the Grand Canyon (located in northern Arizona) during the Mesozoic Era, and Big Thunder Mountain represents the sandstone buttes and hoodoos of Bryce Canyon in southern Utah. It would be entirely possible for an animal the size of a T. rex to travel from one location to the other, and plausible that she would if her former stomping grounds became inhospitable due to drought and volcanic eruptions. More to the point, there’s something poetic about the idea that Disneyland shows us a T. rex in the American southwest twice, in completely unrelated attractions, and both times it’s the same creature.

What little bits of “fanfiction” have you come up with?
