Exciting news for Disney fans and summer travelers—for the first time in five years, all six Walt Disney World parks will be open at the same time! From May 21 through September 7, both of Disney’s water parks—Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach—will operate simultaneously, offering guests even more ways to cool off and enjoy the magic this summer.
Since 2019, Disney has alternated the operation of Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, with one water park typically closing while the other remains open. However, with record-breaking summer crowds expected, Disney is ensuring a more enjoyable guest experience by spreading visitors across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and now both water parks.
Having both water parks open will allow for shorter wait times, more availability for summer fun, and extra opportunities for guests to take a break from Florida’s summer heat with thrilling water rides, lazy rivers, and wave pools.
A Special Perk for Disney Resort Guests
To make the deal even sweeter, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will receive a FREE water park ticket for everyone in their party on their check-in day. That means you can start your vacation with a splash at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach before heading to the theme parks!
