“Hiya, hiya, hiya, Fozzie Bear here, wishing all our friends at DVC a very safe and happy holiday season, and a hilarious start to 2025!” he exclaims, before launching into a series of pun-filled jokes.
This heartwarming message comes at a time when the Muppets’ presence at Walt Disney World is undergoing a transformation. Muppet*Vision 3D, the iconic attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is set to close to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. Land.
While the closure of Muppet*Vision 3D marks the end of an era, Disney has assured fans that it is exploring ways to preserve the film and other aspects of the Muppet experience for future enjoyment. The Jim Henson Company has also acknowledged the closure, hinting at a “next act” for the Muppets.
Despite its impending closure, Muppet*Vision 3D holds a special place in Disney history as the last project Jim Henson worked on before his passing. The attraction, which opened in 1991, has been a beloved favorite for generations of Disney fans.
The Muppets’ holiday message to DVC members serves as a reminder of their enduring appeal and their ability to bring joy and laughter to audiences of all ages. Even as their presence at Disney World evolves, the Muppets will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of fans around the world.
