With the opening of the Donkey Kong Country expansion to Super Nintendo World, guests can now meet Donkey Kong in Universal Studios Japan.
Donkey Kong Meet and Greet
Donkey Kong will meet with guests daily outside of his treehouse, next to Jungle Beat Shakes. Stanchions are set up in front of a platform in front of the treehouse.
Cartoon-ish wooden pillars with lights are around the treehouse, which sits over a rock formation. The treehouse’s supports are wrapped with vines and flowers.
A “Kong” sign is on the thatched roof above a red door.
Donkey Kong wears his classic red tie with “DK” in yellow letters.
A large pile of bananas is on the stage behind the meet and greet.
Guests can purchase a souvenir frame with their photos. The frame features jungle imagery with Squawks the Parrot and Diddy Kong.
Donkey Kong Country features the Mine-Cart Madness roller-coaster, Jungle Beat Shakes quick-service dining, and Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy gift shop.
The Super Nintendo World expansion will also be part of Epic Universe when the new Universal Orlando Resort theme park opens next year.
