With just over a month until Disney Vacation Club’s Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows opens, crews are adding final details to the building.

A multi-story tan building with intricate patterns on its walls and balconies featuring red railings stands amidst a clear blue sky with scattered clouds. A crane, reminiscent of an auto draft in progress, is partially visible, adding to the scene's vibrant architectural narrative.

We previously shared that a turtle mural on the south end of the building was complete. There is still plywood around the balconies at this end. Work has begun on another mural on the other side of this wing.

The building exterior features multiple balconies and ornate wall designs, beautifully contrasted against a blue sky. On the left, a green construction lift is in operation, highlighting ongoing enhancements.

The second mural features tribal designs similar to those of the turtle mural. It covers the cream-colored wall above a brown stripe on the building. The mural might eventually continue below the stripe.

A construction site buzzes with activity, cranes meticulously working on the hotel facade in the background. Scattered materials and equipment lie like an auto draft of plans on the ground. Above, a blue sky adorned with clouds provides a serene backdrop.

Crew members were working on top of the tower’s port-cochere. Since our last update, the overhang’s steel framework has been covered with protective GlassRoc sheathing. The support columns have been covered with their final yellow panels. Holes on the fronts of the columns might be for lights.

The construction scene at the multi-story building, bustling with cranes and scaffolding, unfolds like an auto draft of progress. Workers diligently perform their tasks against a backdrop of overhead clouds and blue sky.

The final few balcony railings are being installed. The most recent installations are covered in plywood. Some balcony railings are plain glass in black frames while others have reddish-brown designs.

A DVC docuseries recently revealed more details about the Island Tower’s artwork. It will have a Moana splash pad at its pool, terrace gardens, and a restaurant (Wailulu Bar & Grill). The tower is projected to open on December 17.
