If you’re attending this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, we are excited for you! It is one of the most festive and unique experiences at The Walt Disney World Resort! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a holiday celebration at Magic Kingdom on select nights in November and December 2024 from 7:00 p.m. until midnight. We know 5 hours sounds like a long time but, time sure flies when you’re having fun so, we have created a guide to help you maximize your time and experience for this event.

Arrive early: Every Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts at 7:00 p.m. and ends at midnight. Party guests with a valid ticket to this event can enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m. and we highly recommend taking advantage of this if you can to enhance your overall party time. Arriving early means you will be able to do more attractions. On party nights Magic Kingdom closes at 6:00 p.m. for regular park guests without a ticket to the party. To attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you must purchase an event ticket. Tickets for this party are on sale now and one of our Travel Agents can help you book everything, help you with planning and making your holiday Disney dreams come true!

Dress for Florida weather: Dress in layers. Here in Orlando, FL temperatures average in the 60’s at night however can get up into the 80’s during the day. Dressing in layers will help you be prepared for unexpected weather.

Account for transportation and entry: Once you arrive to the Magic Kingdom parking lot and park your car, you will walk or take the tram (your choice) to the Ticket and Transportation Center and from there take the Ferry Boat or Monorail. This can take an additional 30 minutes so, we recommend planning accordingly. You will also need to grab a wrist band upon entry into the park. There will be Cast members directing you on where to get your wrist band which is usually right in the front of the park after you go through the turnstiles. You can also save time by obtaining your wrist band early if you are already enjoying a day at Magic Kingdom. The locations to get your wristband early are usually Tortuga Tavern, across from Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor and Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

Arrive early for entertainment: Mickey’s Once Upon a Time Christmastime parade, Frozen Holiday Surprise, Mickey’s Most Merriest celebration, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime fireworks show are all spectacular! If you love Disney entertainment and character interactions, we highly recommend attending the parade. If you would like a good spot for the parade, we recommend getting a spot an hour in advance. And, for the other entertainment options a good rule of thumb is to get there 20-30 minutes early. Main Street U.S.A. is a fantastic backdrop for the parade but, keep in mind that this parade steps off in Frontierland next to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. What this means is that the parade will start in Frontierland and take about 20 minutes to get to you if you are on Main Street. This parade runs twice for every party and the 2nd showing is typically less crowded. With this being in Florida, we feel it’s right to let you know that if there is any inclement weather, the parade may be modified, delayed or canceled of inclement weather, the parade may be modified, delayed or canceled.

Showtimes for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime 2024 8:30 p.m., 11:00 p.m.

Showtimes for Minnie’s Wonderful. Christmastime Fireworks: 10:00 p.m.

Showtimes for Frozen Holiday Surprise: 8:15 p.m.

Prioritizing your must- do’s: This is something else that we highly recommend doing to make the most of your event and do as many things you would like to as well as elevating the stress of being overwhelmed by the amount of things you can do with the amount of time you are given. If attractions are your top priority, we suggest riding popular attractions toward the end of the night during shows because wait times gradually get lower as the night goes on and the wait times are significantly lower during shows. Something new that has come about this year is being about to use Lightning Lanes and Genie + for the party. You could not use LL in previous years.
