The themed Adventureland pavement continues to expand, now filling out the sides of the walkway, and making the remaining gray pavement much less appealing.

Themed Adventureland Pavement

In our previous update, we noted a strange setup of stanchions. Those have since been removed and the Adventureland walkway is now clear minus your fellow guests.

There wasn’t much change on the Swiss Family Treehouse side of the walkway. We even noticed that the gray box of pavement where a light pole once stood is still in place. This area really sticks out now that so much additional new pavement has been added around it.

While one side of the pavement remains the same, the opposite side near Island Supply by Sunglass Hut has seen some small progress. The themed pavement now reaches the storefront just before the path changes from concrete to tiles.

In front of the store, aging has been added to the edges of the pavement, just like we’ve seen at other locations in the land. Near the edges of the buildings, Disney has also been adding a mossy green color with extra texturing. This makes it look as though the pavement has become weather-beaten after years of tropical weather.

Here is a closer look at that green textured concrete near the building. You can also see the small rocks and pieces of mosaic that are scattered throughout the themed concrete. Disney has also been adding cracks and animal prints throughout the design.

For now, the gray pavement in the center of the walkway remains unthemed. It is safe to assume that this will be the next section they complete, as it looks very out of place surrounded by the themed pavement.
