Contempo Cafe inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World is the ultimate quick-service spot. Situated on the Grand Canyon Concourse, this eatery boasts a prime view of monorails buzzing by and the 90-foot mural by Mary Blair, the legendary artist behind “it’s a small world.” You’ll also find a diverse menu of fare, including flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, and a tempting array of cupcakes infused with Disney magic.

During my recent stay at the resort, I ate here many times as it was super convenient, there were plenty of options to choose from, and the food was delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try any breakfast items, but here’s what I was able to try for dinners, dessert, and snacks.

Spicy Chicken Sandwich

Pepper Jack, Chipotle Rémoulade, Arugula, Seasoned Tomato, and Dill Pickle Chips served on a Brioche Bun

This was my favorite item at Contempo Cafe. I got it without cheese, but all the other ingredients made it a winner. It does have a good spicy kick, so if you are sensitive to spice, I would opt for something else. The chipotle remoulade has great flavoring, and the dill pickle chips give the sandwich a teensy, satisfying crunch. This comes with a side of fries, or you can opt for a Cutie Mandarin Orange.

Three-Meat Flatbread

Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, and Smoked Bacon finished with Grated Parmesan.

This flatbread was pretty good, but it had an overload of meat for my personal taste (I had to scrape some of it off). This is a great portion size, though, and it’s not overly greasy.

Chili-Cheese Fries

Smothered in House-made Chili and Queso

I got these as a late-night snack one night, and OMG, they are so good, and the portion size is huge! They are great to share, or if you are feeling especially peckish, you can definitely have them all to yourself. These were not soggy (although I’m sure they would become so if you left them sitting for so long), and the chili and queso tasted fresh. Highly recommend!

Caramel Apple-Sugar Cookie

Sugar Cookie with Sprinkles and Apple Buttercream drizzled with Salted Caramel

Sadly, this was the only dessert I tried while staying at the resort, and I say sadly because they have SO many good-looking cookies. This is a seasonal one, and I was in the mood for something festive for the Halloween season, so I chose this one. It’s moist, and the sprinkles give it a nice little crunch. The apple buttercream with salted caramel is beyond delicious. The buttercream was piled on a little too thick for my taste, so I did have to scrape some off, but overall, this one is a winner!
