Poop has been an unusually hot topic at Walt Disney World Resort recently, from accidents in line for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT to contamination in Disney Resort hotel rooms. In February, one Disney Park guest shared how cast members handled an unfortunate fecal situation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Unlike some recent incidents across Walt Disney World Resort, this guest wasn’t dealing with human poop. But after spending at least $119 on a single-day ticket, no one wants to come near any fecal matter at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park…

Last month, Redditor u/Shot_Tangelo_375 posted a photo after getting pooped on by a wild bird at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The guest notified Guest Services cast members, who said it was “good luck” and gave her an “I’m Celebrating” button that read, “It wasn’t a rain drop….”

Well… I got pooped on by a bird at Animal Kingdom. They said it was good luck?

When the incident happened, the guest was walking from Kilimanjaro Safaris to Expedition Everest. She saw a “large blue bird” and felt something hit her head: “I really looked at fiancé and said ‘please tell me that was a huge rain drop?’”

The bird poop got in the guest’s hair but not on her clothing. She rushed to the bathroom to wash it out.

“The ladies in the bathroom were kind but horrified,” the Disney Park guest recalled. “…’ What do you mean? Aren’t they trained?!’ Was my favorite response…. Saw that same lady buying a hat after.”

Although the incident was unsettling, the guest wasn’t angry with the Disney cast member she spoke to. Since the poop didn’t get on her clothes, she didn’t expect a free shirt or any compensation.

“I think he was relieved I wasn’t trying to be a Karen about it,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “Birds=poop it’s a chance I took buying a ticket.”

Other Disney Parks fans shared their experiences getting pooped on by the Most Magical Birds on Earth.

“Happened to me in Frontier Land at the Magic Kingdom many years ago,” said u/HotWalrus9592. “I learned to never sit underneath a shade tree with birds in it. Very memorable!”

“I learned the hard way to sit under the covered tables when eating at Flame Tree BBQ and not under a tree,” u/jennzid replied. “Thankfully the manager on duty replaced my poopy meal with a fresh one and gave me a certificate for a new shirt. To this day I think of that disgruntled chicken loosening its bowels on me whenever I wear that shirt.”
