The last few years have been quite different at the Walt Disney World Resort, especially when it comes to live entertainment. Several shows and other attractions were cut during the outbreak of COVID-19, including Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Festival of The Lion King and Finding Nemo—The Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Over the years, the resort has slowly returned to normal, with Walt Disney World now resembling its former self in pretty much every way.
The return of Festival of Fantasy was long-awaited by many, as Walt Disney World has been one of the last to bring back parades. The show features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, of course, as well as Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Rapunzel and the gang from Tangled, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Wendy, and Peter from Peter Pan, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Brave, and more!
However, only after a few weeks, the parade encountered issues at the Magic Kingdom, ending slightly differently than what was expected.
As shown in a 2022 tweet from Nick (@MagicalNewsLIVE), one of the balloons on the floats deflated, leaving the show’s finale in an interesting state.

The float stopped for several seconds while the balloon started to deflate. Luckily the problem was eventually solved and the show went on.
It’s impressive how quickly things got back on track, though it just goes to show how prepared and ready Disney is for anything and everything.
Aside from Festival of Fantasy, guests can also stop by Disney’s Hollywood Studios for an incredible nighttime spectacular with Fantasmic. The park also boasts other excellent live entertainment, like Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage and Indiana Jones epic Stunt Spectacular.
Have you seen the new Festival of Fantasy Parade at Disney World yet?
