There are a lot of great perks that come along with being a Universal Orlando Resort Annual Passholder — early theme park admission, free parking, discounts on food and merchandise, and more. Now, some passes come with better perks than others, like a free ticket to Halloween Horror Nights for those who have a Premier Pass. There are also Annual Passes that come with no blackout dates and more inexpensive passes that come with more blackout dates than others.

The top-tier Universal Orlando Annual Pass is the Premier Pass, and the Premier Pass comes with one really great perk: Universal Express free after 4 p.m. That means that guests will automatically get to go in the shorter line after 4 p.m. without having to make an extra purchase. The cost of Universal Express can add up, with other guests spending hundreds of dollars per day for that perk, so it can be a real cost saver.
Guests who purchase a Universal Orlando Annual Pass can choose between a two-park or three-park pass. The two-park pass covers Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. The three-park pass covers Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay (water park).

On May 22, the Universal Orlando Resort will open its fourth theme park — Epic Universe. The massive new park will feature brand-new lands that guests can’t wait to experience. There will be a third Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, as well as Dark Universe, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park.
Universal knows that guests will flock to the new theme park, so they had to establish certain rules and regulations so that as many people as possible could have the chance to experience it.

One of the biggest downsides of Epic Universe — at least for Annual Passholders — is that their pass will not be valid at the park for some time. APs can use their annual pass to purchase a discounted ticket to Epic Universe, but they will still have to pay to enter.
However, Universal might have just let it slip that Passholders will have an epic perk sooner than they expected.
X (formerly Twitter) user Steven Iglesias noticed that the Universal AP information section said that the two-park Premier Pass includes Universal Express after 4 p.m. for Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, AND Epic Universe!

The post quickly gained traction, with many APs excited about the prospect of using their perk at the stunning new theme park.
However, Universal might have noticed that they released some information they weren’t planning on revealing so soon. Not long after the information was released, it was quickly retracted.
But, since this is the internet, screenshot internet posts live forever.

Now, it should be noted that the post said, “restrictions apply,” and we do not know what those exceptions would be. It is possible that if and when APs can use their Express perk, it will only be if they purchase a ticket to Epic Universe. It is also possible that the Express Pass will only become available when APs can add entry to Epic Universe onto their pass.
We do not know when Universal Orlando will release a three and four-park Annual Pass, but Inside the Magic will let readers know as soon as that information is revealed.
Will you be visiting Epic Universe when it opens in May? Or will you wait until the crowds calm down and visit Epic Universe sometime in the future? Which new land are you most excited to experience? Let us know in the comments!
