McDonald’s is preparing to say goodbye to a decades-old Disney location and hello to a new one in early 2026.

The Walt Disney Company has partnered with the Golden Arches for years, starting with Happy Meal toy collaborations in the 1980s. McDonald’s kiosks popped up at Disneyland Park, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom Park in the 90s, and a full restaurant opened in Walt Disney World Resort’s Downtown Disney District (now known as Disney Springs).

McDonald’s sponsored the DINOSAUR attraction (then known as Countdown to Extinction) when it opened alongside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in 1998. It terminated the sponsorship in 2008, but red, yellow, and white pipes (referencing ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise) inside the ride remain an Easter egg to the former fast food tie-in.

The early 2000s also saw the end of the McDonald’s kiosks and most of the full-size locations at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Although Disney still partnered with the fast food brand for Happy Meal toys, it removed the Disney Park locations as part of a nationwide cultural shift toward healthy eating for children. The only onsite McDonald’s at a United States Disney park is a standalone restaurant near the All-Star Resorts at Walt Disney World Resort.

The international Disney parks didn’t follow Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort’s lead. McDonald’s has had a location at Disney Village, Disneyland Paris Resort’s shopping and dining district, since 1999.

That might seem unusual for a country known for fine dining, but France quickly became McDonald’s second-largest market after the Golden Arches first appeared there in 1972. For more than 30 years, Disneyland Paris Resort guests have counted on the fast food chain for a quick and cheap meal–a rarity at the Disney parks.

But something’s about to change for French fast food fans. Over the last few months, McDonald’s has been constructing a new location near Lake Disney at Disney Village. This location will eventually replace the original when it opens sometime in early 2026, and feature “an innovative architecture designed exclusively for Disneyland Paris.”

On Wednesday, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared several updated photos of the McDonald’s construction at Disney Village. The structure is beginning to take shape, only missing a roof:

🔧 The new Disney Village McDonald’s continues to come together at lightning speeds, the roof is next!

For now, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park guests can still get their Big Mac and McNugget fix at the original Disney Village McDonald’s. Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t announced an exact grand opening date for the new fast food restaurant location.
