Earlier this week, Disneyland guests were stunned after seeing an unofficial doll placed inside “it’s a small world” holding a sign that read “Remember Hiroshima.” Video footage of the doll went viral on TikTok, sparking widespread confusion about the stunt.

This incident was obviously meant to serve as a reminder and protest of the 1945 bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II, but questions lingered regarding who was behind it and how the doll was able to get past security.

The individual responsible for the stunt has since revealed himself to be Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen. Cohen explained to Fox News that he is currently in the middle of an extensive campaign against the U.S. government’s collection of weapons.

This campaign, called “Up in Arms,” protests the Pentagon’s spending budget and America’s military power.

“The whole idea of the Small World exhibit is that it’s a small world after all,” Cohen said during a phone interview with Fox News Digital. “You got all the children from the different countries around the world being together, loving each other. And we put a doll in there that says, ‘Remember Hiroshima.’ I mean, that’s what was supposed to happen after the bomb in Hiroshima. We were supposed to remember what we did there and say, ‘Never again.’ And we’ve, we’ve ignored that.”

The “small world” protest came just before the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, which killed more than 100,000 people. During the call, Cohen brought up the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, highlighting the war in Gaza, something he called the “moral issue of our time.”

“They’ve turned us all into murderers, and they’re taking our money, buying bombs with it, and giving it to Israel to slaughter people in Gaza,” Cohen continued. “And a whole lot of them are kids, just like that little girl that we placed in Disneyland.”

The iconic California theme park resort has a long list of rules and regulations that it expects its high-paying guests to follow. Disney is pretty accommodating in most circumstances, even giving guests spending cash to replace clothing the parks might deem inappropriate.

However, leaning out of a roller coaster train, or in this case, a slow-moving boat, puts guests and employees in direct danger, making it a much bigger deal.

Defacing rides like “it’s a small world” is also something Disney likely takes a bit more seriously than simple dress code violations. Stunts like this could easily land Cohen with a lifetime ban from Disneyland.
