Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes had been a part of the ABC News family for years when they were chosen to host the third hour of ABC’s hit morning show, Good Morning America. Robach had been hosting the show since March, when it was called Pandemic: What You Need to Know. T.J. Holmes joined her six months later, when Pandemic became GMA3: What You Need to Know.
The pair had a natural on-air chemistry that fans could not get enough of, and they quickly gained a big following. However, their careers and the show were thrown into chaos when, just weeks before Christmas, it was revealed that the two were having an affair.

Holmes and Robach were first placed on leave, pending an internal investigation at ABC. Nearly two months after news of the affair became public, both were fired, and several other well-known ABC anchors stepped in to fill the hosting role. GMA3: What You Need to Know is currently being hosted by Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan.
Nearly one year to the date after they were suspended from ABC, Ms. Robach and Mr. Holmes, who were still going strong and now both divorced, announced that they would be hosting a new podcast for iHeartRadio, called Amy & T.J..
While initially experiencing a lot of success, especially because they spoke freely about their time at ABC, the ratings for Amy & T.J. have declined, but it still maintains positive reviews.

Now, in addition to their podcast, Holmes and Robach have announced that they will be starting a new advice column, ironically focusing on dating and relationship advice.
Longtime journalists Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have firsthand experience with the messiness of modern relationships and the complexity of combining family, finances and more when you’re starting over with a new person. “We’re here to be the face of life is messy,” Robach says. “Love is messy.”
Now, they want to help you address yours in Ask Amy & T.J., the celebrity couple’s new relationship advice column from Yahoo, debuting June 9. In this weekly series, the pair will take on your relationship questions, however complicated, bizarre or intimate — there are no taboos here — with the humor and humility you know them for.

When announcing their advice column, Robach said that the two were more than qualified to help others, as they have experienced a lot of relationship ups and downs, and they have both been married and divorced twice. She also admitted that the pair had gained relationship knowledge through “a lot of trial and error,” which Holmes agreed with.
“What it boils down to is that ours is a story people can relate to,” says Holmes. “I think it’s a more attainable goal for people in relationships to get where we got: We went through hell and then realized on the other side, I’m gonna be OK, and this relationship is worth fighting for.”
The new Yahoo advice series will be weekly, with the first column dropping on June 9.
