Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

On Tuesday, Disney Parks Blog announced that a new Santa Claus meet-and-greet is coming to DinoLand U.S.A. From November 12 to December 24, guests can meet Kris Kringle at the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party on the patio at Restaurantosaurus.

This is the first Santa Claus meet-and-greet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in years. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Santa Claus has only waved to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park guests from festive “floatillas.”

Disney Parks fans quickly noted that 2024 will be the first and only year for this Christmas experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. DinoLand U.S.A. will close in 2025 to make way for the new Tropical Americas area, Pueblo Esperanza.

“Also one year only. 😭,” @pieps86 wrote.

“Think it’s sweet that Disney is giving the land a farewell with something like this,” @smhsteve_ replied. “It’ll give the fans a memory to remember.”
