Halloween season is on the horizon at Walt Disney World Resort, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is already shaping up to be one of the most sought-after events of the year. From August 15 through October 31, the Magic Kingdom celebration offers entertainment, treats, and character experiences guests can’t find during regular park hours.

The event’s popularity is evident—several nights have already reached capacity, including August 15, August 17, August 19, August 22, August 29, September 12, and the ever-popular October 31. In 2024, every party night sold out by September 24, and this year seems on track to follow suit. With early-season dates priced at $119 and nights closer to Halloween reaching $229, tickets are going fast despite the price increase.
The cost of a Disney vacation, particularly at Disney World, has been the topic of much contention over the last half a decade. And even Disney’s Q3 earnings call was telling: Disney parks have a lower attendance but the guests are spending more. Note that over time, tickets, Lightning Lane passes, and hard-ticketed events like Not-So-Scary have all increased in cost.
The kicker? Disney theme parks’ revenue hit $9 billion in Q3 2025. With fewer guests spending more money, Disney will never stop increasing its costs if the consumer continues to pay it.
Party guests can enjoy early entry to Magic Kingdom starting at 4 p.m., well before the official 7 p.m. kick-off. It’s a great chance to enjoy a few favorite attractions before the exclusive entertainment begins. One of the highlights each evening is the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, complete with Disney characters, dancing ghouls, villains, and the iconic arrival of the Headless Horseman.

Over at Cinderella Castle, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular returns with the Sanderson Sisters hosting a lively mix of songs, magic, and villain appearances. Jack Skellington hosts Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, a fireworks and projection show that brings the night to a close.
This year, Jack and Sally will meet guests in new costumes inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), adding extra detail for fans of the film. Other rare characters, such as the Seven Dwarfs, will also be available for special meet-and-greets.

Disney PhotoPass photographers will be stationed throughout the park with Halloween props and Magic Shots for those with PhotoPass or Memory Maker. Guests of all ages—adults included–are welcome to wear costumes as long as they meet Disney’s guidelines. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and other favorites will appear in their own Halloween attire.
Annual Passholders can take advantage of a $10 discount on select August and September dates, a nice perk for those booking early. With tickets for seven dates already gone, now’s the time to plan ahead for a night of Halloween fun at Walt Disney World.
