One of the earliest Disney Princesses, Cinderella, has disappeared from a popular location at Walt Disney World Resort. The Central Florida Disney park has said nothing publicly about when, or if, she will return.

Disney Parks fans have lots of vacation traditions, from favorite snacks to must-do attractions. Most of us have one photo spot we find ourselves returning to, marking the growth of our families next to something static and everlasting. Although Walt Disney World Resort changes a bit every year, if we’re lucky, we each have a favorite bench or statue to return to on every trip.

At Disney Springs, one of the most popular photo ops is a life-size statue of Cinderella, just outside one of the entrances to the World of Disney store. The statue has been there for years, watching little princes and princesses grow into young adults with families of their own.

In October 2024, Cinderella was removed for a two-month refurbishment. After years in the Central Florida weather, it received a much-needed paint job and returned in December. Unfortunately, the statue has disappeared again.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @Attractions shared this photo taken outside World of Disney, where Cinderella usually stands. Some kind of temporary box painted to match the building’s support columns sits in her place.

Cinderella has been removed from the entrance of World of Disney. Or they look very different now.

It’s unclear why Cinderella was removed or when she will return. Walt Disney World Resort rarely issues public statements about minor refurbishment projects, and this situation has been no different.

A similar Princess Aurora statue, which stands just feet away, remains untouched. The Sleeping Beauty (1959) statue was also refurbished alongside Cinderella in 2024, but it’s unclear if she will be removed again.
