Monday marks the end of June, which begs the question: What is Disney waiting for?

In past years, Disney World would have already announced the dates, pricing, and special additions for Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Hollywood Studios’ Jollywood Nights. Last year, Disney made the announcement on June 23; the year before that, it was in mid-June.

Disney has already dropped several hints that Jollywood Night is returning with its audition announcements. Earlier this month, on Disney Careers, the company placed an ad looking for “Seasonal Vocalist for Jollywood Nights,” and “Seasonal Dancers for Jollywood Nights.” That seems like a pretty obvious sign that Jollywood Nights is returning this year.

Disney is seeking both “male and female identifying vocalists” for Jollywood Nights, but the ad also calls for Tiana, who has the ability to riff in a style similar to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas.” The ad also asks for a Belle who can sing “’ As Long As There’s Christmas’ in the same key as the movie score.”

Now, Disney has all but announced that one of Jollywood Night’s most popular shows will be returning with its audition announcement. Last week, Disney posted an ad looking for “actors” for Tim Burton’s THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS Sing-Along.

These announcements all but confirm that the Christmas after-hours will be returning for 2025, so what’s Disney waiting for? This question has no clear answer, but eager guests waiting to plan their Christmas trip to Disney World should have some news this week.

Disney doesn’t seem likely to drag this announcement into the latter end of next week, when the Fourth of July holiday hits and most people will be on vacation and not paying attention to Disney news. So, expect something early this week or the week after.

This will be Jollywood Nights’ third year. The first year was a bit of a disaster, but Disney learned and cleaned things up for its return.

So, Disney fans, get ready to plan your holiday trip. An announcement is coming soon…we hope.
