We are mere hours away from the beginning of Disneyland Resort’s massive 70th Anniversary celebration, which will last more than one whole year! As part of the celebration, there will be a brand-new guided walking tour, a new show at Disney California Adventure — World of Color Happiness! –, the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade at Disneyland Park, new projection shows in both Disneyland and DCA, and some delectable new food and beverage offerings.
Guests were also thrilled when Disney announced the return of Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade at DCA, the Paint the Night Parade, and Wondrous Journeys fireworks spectacular at Disneyland. It will truly be an amazing time to visit The Happiest Place on Earth!

In addition to the new shows, new parties, and new foodie guide, Disneyland has also released a ton of new merchandise that guests will be packing the parks to get their hands on.
And one of Disney’s newest pieces of merchandise not only has everyone talking, but is also talking itself!
On May 16, Disney will release its brand-new Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket. Mickey Mouse is clad in his signature outfit — red pants, a white shirt, black tuxedo jacket, and a yellow bow tie. However, this is not just any popcorn bucket, this Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket moves and talks!

This is not the first time Disney has released a talking popcorn bucket, but this is the most interactive. Last year, during Pixar Fest at Disneyland Resort, Disney released a Dug from Up (2009) popcorn bucket. It had a button on the collar that guests could press, and he would say phrases. However, that popcorn bucket was only available for Magic Key Holders. This new Mickey popcorn bucket will be available to all guests.
The Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket is not the only popcorn bucket that Disney is releasing in celebration of the 70th Anniversary. Guests will also be able to purchase the Celebration Light Up Mickey Balloon Bucket and a more traditional plastic bucket with an adorable new 70th design. Disney is also releasing an Abominable Snowman Sipper, a Disneyland 70th Celebration Sipper, a Celebration Stainless Steel Tumbler, and a Disneyland Marquee Bottle Topper.
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration will begin on May 16 and run through the summer of 2026. Reservations are still required to visit both Disneyland and California Adventure, so book your theme park adventure today!
