Two Disneyland Resort characters playfully brawled in front of Disney Park guests in a video posted from a Character Dining restaurant. One of the nearby guests shared their memory of the incident on social media.

There are two main types of character performers at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park: “face” characters and “fur” characters. While there is certainly overlap between the two, “face” performers generally portray talking characters like Peter Pan, the Fairy Godmother, or your favorite Disney Princess. “Fur” performers play mascot characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck.

Any character meet-and-greet is made better, with multiple performers playing off each other to give guests magical memories. TikTok user @tenorbuds recently shared this video of an unforgettable interaction with Chip and Dale in a Character Dining location at Disneyland Resort:

“The chipmunks are fighting again,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “…Don’t worry…Chip n Dale are still besties.”

In the video, the Disney characters playfully hit and gestured at each other as guests across the restaurant laughed. Luckily, while it’s unclear what started the conflict, it seemed quickly forgotten.

If you have a particularly memorable interaction with a Disneyland Resort character or another Disney cast member, you can recognize them on the Disneyland Resort app. Alternatively, you can visit Guest Services and fill out a “cast compliment” card with the approximate date, time, and details of your interaction. These little bits of recognition go a long way in ensuring that management knows their employees are making magic for guests!
