Christmastime is one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. Tens of thousands of guests venture to the Central Florida theme park, ready to celebrate the spirit of the season. They head over to the Magic Kingdom to enjoy Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Disney’s Hollywood Studios to attend Jollywood Nights, both separately-ticketed events. Over at EPCOT, all guests can enjoy holiday food from around the world at Disney’s International Festival of the Holidays.

Every corner of Walt Disney World is decorated with wreaths, ornaments, Christmas trees, garlands, and the like. There’s a ton of specialty food and drink, festive merchandise, and so much more.
One of the busiest days during the holiday season is New Year’s Eve, with theme parks like the Magic Kingdom reaching capacity early in the day. In fact, park reservations for that day are already completely full.
On New Year’s Eve, there are typically two fireworks shows instead of one. It is also the final day guests can watch the limited-time Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Some guests visit Disney World for New Year’s Eve but aren’t interested in being packed like sardines into the Magic Kingdom. They don’t want to have to stake out a spot to watch the fireworks hours before the show. They want a nice, calm experience, full of great food, festive ambiance, and something exclusive.
So, we present you with Disney’s Tiana’s New Year’s Eve Adventure at the California Grill atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort. And guests will be able to experience this Princess and the Frog (2009)-themed event if they are willing to shell out $800 per person.
Tiana’s New Year’s Adventure will be a buffet-style dining experience, and guests will be able to go from room to room, enjoying everything the restaurant has to offer. The menu includes not only food, but also a variety of champagnes and wines.
But what makes this dining experience different from others is that it will actually be a character dining experience! But a character dining experience with a bit of mystery involved!
The Walt Disney World Resort website reads:
With the help of Mama Odie’s magic, Louis and a few of Tiana’s other critter pals have crashed the party. Throughout the night, Mama Odie will cast playful spells to help Louis and friends stay out of sight of Tiana and Naveen. However, Tiana is smart—she will get to the bottom of who crashed this party. But she’ll need your help to do it, so be prepared to join in the action!
