Several Disneyland Resort guests recently shared their experience getting stuck on Indiana Jones Adventure in a video on TikTok. The guests were trapped on the ride for an extended period after ironically purchasing a Lightning Lane for a quicker experience on the Disneyland Park attraction.
Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye opened in Adventureland at Disneyland Park in 1995. The unique ride system later inspired DINOSAUR in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort and Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull in Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disney Resort. In 2026, Walt Disney Imagineers will transform DINOSAUR into another Indiana Jones-inspired attraction, which they’ve promised will be distinct from the existing attractions in California and Tokyo.
On June 5, TikTok user @ggabiiii444 and her friends got stuck on Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Park after purchasing a Lightning Lane to speed through the attraction. “4 girls, one problematic ride at the Happiest Place on Earth,” the TikToker captioned a video of her group’s experience.

“We paid $27 extra for this,” one of the Disney Park guests said in the video.
Disney cast members turned the overhead attraction lights on and instructed guests to remain seated during the downtime.
“I like how they keep telling us to sit here like we have a choice,” another guest joked. “The seatbelts are on.”
After the ride broke down at around 11:50 p.m., the guests spent at least 35 minutes awaiting rescue. Fortunately, Disney cast members compensated them for the inconvenience.
“We ended up getting a free Lightning Lane for [Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!] for the absurd wait,” the TikToker wrote. “A win is a win.”
In the comments, other Disney Parks fans shared their experience getting stuck on Indiana Jones Adventure.
“Is this freaking Indiana jones because that happened to me around that time of night and I thought I was gonna die there,” @shylarl wrote.
“We got stuck on it this week too!!!!” said @mindylee333, who also received a complimentary Lightning Lane after their experience.
Disneyland Resort rarely issues public statements about minor attraction breakdowns like this one. However, Indiana Jones Adventure eventually reopened and was operating normally at the time of this article’s publication.
