A few Disney World guests got an “enhanced” experience after a ride malfunctioned, making it even more terrifying.

There are a ton of great attractions to choose from at Walt Disney World, ranging from iconic rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and “it’s a small world” to modern-day marvels like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
However, Disney also offers some truly incredible attractions for those looking for a little more thrill.
At Animal Kingdom, guests can hop aboard Expedition Everest and DINOSAUR, possibly two of the most thrilling rides in the Disney World Resort.
There are also two extremely thrilling rides at Hollywood Studios: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. The former is a thrilling high-speed roller coaster ride through back alleys accompanied by legendary rock band Aerosmith. The latter is a death-defying drop tower ride that transports riders into their own episode of The Twilight Zone.
But what happens when all the sound cuts out of one of these attractions?
A years-old TikTok video shared by @alejandraasofia captured the moment the audio cut out completely on Tower of Terror, leaving the entire ride silent as riders approached the drop.

As you can see, the ride is silent from the very beginning. While the audio doesn’t actually change anything about the ride in particular, the lack of any kind of music or sound certainly makes this creepy experience all the more creepy.
Strangely enough, Inside the Magic covered a story a few years ago where a similar situation happened, only this time it was inside the actual drop shaft.
There’s no doubt that The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is one of the scariest and most intense experiences at Walt Disney World, but riding it without sound takes everything to a whole new level.
