Walt Disney World has announced that Whispering Canyon Cafe will be closed starting May 12th for a short refurbishment at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge hotel. Here’s the announcement:
Whispering Canyon Cafe Closing for Refurbishment May 2025
From May 12 through May 21, 2025, Whispering Canyon Café will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, Guests can choose from a variety of other dining locations at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, including Territory Lounge, Roaring Fork, Geyser Point Bar & Grill and Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White.
Whispering Canyon Cafe is a table-service restaurant located just off of the lobby of Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort hotel. The menu includes hearty Western fare with all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets (and shenanigans)! Whispering Canyon Cafe is typically open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and pricing ranges from $15 to $35 during breakfast and dinner, up to $45 for dinner.
Come one, come all, just come hungry for the Whispering Canyon Café Brunch-B-Q! Bring in the posse for breakfast or lunch and choose from a selection of our famous all-you-care-to-enjoy signature skillets. Choose The Heritage skillet featuring house-made buttermilk-cheddar biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon and Mickey waffles or decide to enjoy The Carnivore featuring maple-chipotle barbecued slow-smoked pork ribs, citrus-herb chicken, country potatoes and charred carrots. The Lighter Side skillet and plant-based options are also available.
Corral your wild bunch later in the day for a country-style dinner to sink your teeth into even more all-you-care-to enjoy signature skillets featuring oak-smoked mustard-barbecued beef brisket, braised pork belly or house-smoked salmon. All skillets come with lip-smackin’ cowboy sides. The Plant-based skillet features maple-chipotle barbecued jackfruit, mustard-glazed beefless tips, oven-roasted carrots and charred peppers.
