Walt Disney World has updated its website, removing reference to an upcoming room refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. We noticed the change a little while ago and reached out to Walt Disney World for clarification about the change, but we have not heard back. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we do hear back. Here’s what’s changed.

Room Refurbishment No Longer Listed for Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

When Walt Disney World first announced the planned refurbishment, there was mention that “some guest rooms” would be under refurbishment. This announcement came in April 2024, and we’ve included the statement below.

From January 2025 through May 2025, some guest rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be under refurbishment. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Now, the Walt Disney World website no longer lists a room refurbishment as part of the work, instead just noting that Yacht & Beach Club are currently undergoing refurbishment. It’s unclear if guest rooms are part of the refurbishment or not. Here’s the updated statement.

Beginning in January 2025, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts are currently undergoing refurbishments. While Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours, most Resort hotel amenities will remain available.

Either way, we do know that the Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool will soon be closing for refurbishment through June 2025 as first announced early last year.
